IntroductionIf you want to live beside cascading water, there may be no better place on
Earth than the Reverie Lodge. The sights and sounds of Lost Horse Creek,
a major spawning tributary of the Bitterroot River, inspired the design of
the Reverie Lodge. The creek itself, is the visual centerpiece of every room.

The home was designed by Briggs Architecture in Missoula with a focus on privacy, comfort and warmth
for entertaining friends and family. The open kitchen and living room lead to an outside terrace above
the creek which features an outdoor fireplace and dining area equally suitable for entertaining guests
at lunchtime, as it is for late night story telling by the fire. An upstairs bunkhouse style room provides
plenty of extra accommodations for additional guests.
On the creek side of the home, all bedrooms feature large double sliding glass doors that open up to the
creek. Guests and visitors are lulled to sleep by the sounds of running water and often must be woken up
after sleeping through their alarm.

Live Water
Lost Horse Creek loses pitch at a fast rate as it
tumbles past the house towards its confluence
with the Bitterroot River. Year-round flow is enjoyed by
populations of native west slope cutthroats, rainbows,
and brook trout living in its cold clear waters. Lost
Horse Creek is a large watershed that also features a
resident population of native Bull Trout.
