Standard Definition Versus High Definition
Standard Definition
• Standard definition or SD is a type of resolution. A resolution is the number of pixels displayed on a screen. Standard definition tends to be 480i.
High Definition
• High definition or HD is a much higher resolution than any SD resolution and is most commonly 720p or 1080p
Adobe Premier Options
• Adobe Premier Pro has many different resolution options, both SD and HD including 720p and 1080p.
• Changing the resolution will give you either a clearer (HD) or blurrier (SD) image.
Different ways to export
• On Adobe Premier you are able to export in many different formats depending on the website you wish to use e.g. YouTube or Vimeo.
To export
• To export to a certain website it must be in the website format when exporting. For example there are different formats for both YouTube and Vimeo.
MOV and AVI
• MOV was developed by Apple for their applications such as Quicktime whereas AVI was developed by Microsoft for their media player.
• AVI tends to be more compatible than MOV and is used much more.
