We have represented Idea Cellular on their merger with Vodafone, and have advised Twitter, Inc. on

the acquisition of ZipDial Mobile Solutions.

We advised General Atlantic on its investment in Unacademy, NoBroker,

Absolute Barbeque, Billdesk, and IIFL Wealth.

We are the only Firm to have represented 5

separate entities in the 2G scam. We are also involved in the coal block allocation

scam, the investigation against Vijay Mallya, and the AgustaWestland VVIP

Chopper scam.

Our HR & Employment Law practice advises a number

of large transnational corporations with respect to employment relations

with key managerial personnel including

General Motors, Burberry UK, and Larsen & Toubro.

We have advised the production teams of well-known movies and web-series such as Bad Boy

Billionaires, Rustom, Toilet-Ek Prem Katha, Manto, and

Padmaavat.

We have represented ITC Limited, the Godrej Group,

JSW Limited, Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi), and

Diageo plc in high stake commercial disputes before various fora.

We have represented clients in multi-crore arbitrations including

institutional arbitrations in London, Singapore, and

Hong Kong.

We have represented various sports leagues,

including the leagues for Badminton, Table Tennis,

Kabaddi, Polo, Snooker, as well as teams in the Indian Premier League and Indian

Super League.

We have an active pro bono practice which spans both institutional pro bono work as well as work for undertrials and the underprivileged. Our Associates are encouraged to actively participate in pro bono activities. The Firm is actively involved with Toolbox India, a not-for-profit organisation started with the purpose of offering consulting services on a pro bono basis to other non-profits in change process management. Additionally, we have also helped set up the Tentai Foundation which is an initiative aimed at helping autistic children.

B&P also works with Shakti Dhara for the betterment of disadvantaged rural communities by providing them skill training at computer labs and sewing centres.

B&P also advises Swastha Foundation (a social enterprise working towards improving the health of low-income segments in urban and rural India) and Cuddles Foundation (an NGO providing holistic nutritional support to underprivileged kids fighting cancer) on a range of Indian law matters.

The t ra in ing we prov ideA Lawyer’s duties cannot be performed in a vacuum, nor can lawyers flourish in stagnation. At B&P, we have worked hard to create a holistic, continuous training program for our lawyers. This includes:

Continuous Legal EducationA basic requirement for each lawyer, including Partners and Trainees. This will also include supplementing them with additional skill sets, such as developing an understanding of company accounts, interpreting stock market deals, etc.

Learning Through FeedbackWe encourage our lawyers to learn from their mistakes on every single assignment, to ask for constructive feedback and take criticism in a positive spirit. Our Partners spend time on your training every single day. Bi-annually, you are given the chance to sit with your Partner to undertake a more detailed analysis of your work and progress and speak freely about your overall growth and development.

Industry KnowledgeTo help us understand the specific needs and concerns of our clients, we bring in experts who have spent their lives working in industry sectors relevant to our clients.

Soft SkillsEffective communication is at the heart of being a good lawyer and we help you learn, among other things: how to communicate with clients, seniors, and peers; how to conduct yourself in a professional setting; and how to ensure that your deportment always matches the highest levels we expect of our lawyers.

Personality DevelopmentWe also bring in professionals to train you on personality development, leadership skills, and interpersonal skills.

Proper knowledge and understanding of the law is expected of you, on which your execution ability is dependent. We also expect you to continuously work on improving your legal skills.

Best effort should underscore every moment you are at work. We ask you to put in the most effort you can, not towards the number of hours you write down in a timesheet, but in the quality of work you produce day after day.

Our lawyers are strategists and advisors to national and multi-national organisations. We expect you to develop the ability to analyse, interpret, and understand the commercial world since without it, any advice you give will be half-formed at best.

We provide you with the training to become the B&P Lawyer, respecting the positive qualities that make you unique.

Everything you do adds to your candidature, from your GPA, to your prior internship experience, to your participation in co-curricular activities. However, it is your motivation, attitude, the will to succeed, and the acknowledgement that you will grow with the Firm, that is crucial. We will assess you holistically. Work wi th B&P in 2021We are recruiting up to 16 graduates from the Batch of 2021.

One-on-one interactions will be conducted with the shorlisted students online.

Your law school will be informed of the offers that we would like to make thereafter.

In tern wi th B&P in 2021We are offering long term internship spots, to the batch of 2022 & 2023.

We are giving the students of the graduating batch of 2022 & 2023 the chance to undergo a long term internship with the Firm. Students showing potential during their long term internship will be made an offer to join the Firm as an Associate on graduation.

Students selected for long term internships will be initially offered an internship for 4 weeks and based on their performance, a second internship can be offered.

The second internship will be scheduled in the coming months subject to their academic calendar.

Please ensure that your Recruitment Committee sends in the consolidated list of applicants from your law school by 16 December 2020.

We will revert with the shortlisted students from your law school by 8 January 2020.

An application form is to be filled online, including a written Statement of Purpose and a video response.
