CSI approached AA Radio with a requirement for a easily deployable communications kit containing eight portable radios, each with earpiece and in-line PTT, and a multi-charger fitted to the case. The radios needed to be compact yet robust with long battery life, have an emergency group notification feature and provide a secure line of communication.

AA Radio’s David Taylor introduced CSI to the Hytera PD602 Portable UHF Digital radio.“The Hytera PD602 met all of the customers requirements; slim, compact and robust. Their digital mode of operation ensures voice communication is kept secure.”

The radios were programmed with the Emergency button facility enabled allowing all members of the team to be alerted to a team member requiring immediate assistance. A multi-charger was fitted to a Pelican case with provision for spare batteries, accessories and operational documentation.
