The UK’s only Colmar T12000’s. Gross vehicle weight of39 tonnes with a 9t extendable counterweight allowingexcellent stability and lifting capacities. Also has an 80tonne train weight and lift and carry capacity.
The UK’s only tracked Colmar cranes with reverseknuckle lifting for in and around OLE. With animpressive 14m reach and 12.1t lift capacity in Rail mode.Rubber track pads for road mode lifting. Also has an 80tonne train weight and lift and carry capacity.
Gross vehicle weight of 40 tonnes with a 9t extendablecounterweight allowing excellent stability and liftingcapacities. Having rubber track pads can also be utilisedin and around the Station infrastructure, both on andoff track. Also has an 80 tonne train weight and lift andcarry capacity.
A closer look at someof our projectsDon Valley Viaduct Bridge Strengthening Client: BAM Nuttall Date: 2019 The project was to install piles that would form partof a new shock absorber anchorage assembly thatwill allow the Don Viaduct to remain in use formany more years to come.
We installed 40No. of Circular Hollow Sections(CHS) piles using our versatile fleet of T10,000 andTracked T10,000 road rail Colmar’s whichincorporated a MOVAX BSP Hammer attachment.
With the breadth in capabilities and diversity inservice offer across our business, we enlisted thesupport of our Specialist Piling team utilising aSoilmec SR-30 rotary bored rig, to help providefurther strength to the foundations.
Kirkconnel embankment projectGlasgow and South WesternRailway (GSW) Line.Client: QTS Date: 2019 Over the 10-day blockade, we installed 450No.Track Bed Stabilisation (TBS) Screw Piles into thetrack bed in order to reduce track settlement andimprove track quality.
We utilised 4No. Colmar T10,000 and Van Elle’s ownSpirit masts, developed in house specifically forinstalling TBS Screw Piles.
The consultative approach to our tenderingresulted in providing a solution that steered awayfrom the more traditional route, digging out thetrack bed replacement and formation renewal, toprovide a more cost effective remedy.
The approach resulted in a substantial amount oftime being saved, resulting in overall labour andplant cost efficiencies, but also a reduction in theneed for taking material off and on site
This also made less impact on the localenvironment and reduced road journeys for lorriescreating a much more workable site environment.
The works have been delivered safely, ahead ofprogramme and to QTS’s and Network Rail’ssatisfaction, and we look forward to working on moreprojects with QTS and Network Rail in the future.
