The List of Judges, DC members and ring stewards may be changed at the last minute
owing to the absence of the designated individual for any unforeseen reason. These
Circumstances do not constitute a just cause for complaint. Within the competition area,
all communication between judges and exhibitors will only e conducted through the ring
steward.
2-Venue
The Championship is Scheduled to take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (24th
,25th & 26
th of Oct.) 2013 respectively, the show grounds will be at Rabab Stud-Skkara
Road-Shabramant-El Reiga, the show will start at 02:00 pm On Thursday & Saturday and
will start at 01:00 pm On Friday.
Tournament dates are subject to change due to curfew conditions inside the country.
3-Conditions of Entry
A separate entry form will be submitted for each horse by Sep.30th
, 2013 at the latest
(closing date) accompanied by:
b) A payment by check or cash of L.E.1000 per horse for members and L.E. 1200 per
horse for non-members.
b) A copy of the relevant registration certificate or a passport, DC reserves the right to
refuse entry or fine any exhibitor with incomplete documentation.
No entry form will be accepted after the closing date.
Entry fees are non-refundable except if the championship is cancelled or postponed
for more than 10 business days.
Portable stalls will be provided (with bedding) at the showground by October 19th
2013.
A stabling fees of LE 150 per day per stall is payable with the entry fees and 100LE
for portable stalls.
The exhibitors are responsible for providing their own horse's feed.
Exhibitors are expected to clean the stalls on daily basis.
Exhibitors are urged to transport their mares and fillies from the show ground after
their respective classes except for those who qualified for the championships.
Exhibit numbers must be collected from Rabab Stud by Wednesday October 23rd
,
2013.

Stallions Championship
Under ECAHO rules, no class may be split unless there are more than 16 horses entered. Combination of classes with the next age group of the same sex permitted only if the number of entries for the class is below three.
Any title show or A show Gold and Silver Medal winner are not allowed
to participate in B show for the rest of the calendar year and two
calendar years following , EXCEPT in case a junior horse become senior
.
Anybody entering an overqualified horse will be liable to fine of E600
and the horse will be disqualified .
. Any horses whose details are not printed in the catalogue are not
allowed to start when the details were not provided by the owner before
that date .
Judging system: Any judging system may be used, provided that it is indicated in detail in the schedule and the show catalogue.
The English or Comparative judging system may be used, with one judge judging the horses by comparing and ranking them. Half point system is used, the following system is recommended:
Each judge gives ½-20 points for the following criteria:
a) type, b) head & neck, c) body & top line, d) legs, e) movement.
Rules for judging Rabab Cup:
This contest is for horses registered in EAO studbook and owned by their breeders from birth till the show dates
Rules for judging Get of Sire Championship:
This Prize will be awarded to the Owner of the Stallion whose his offspring have obtained the best results during the show based on the following scale:
1-Gold Champion 100 points 2-Silver Champion 80 points
3-Bronze Champion 60 points
1st in Class 50 points 2nd in Class 30 points
3rd in Class 20 Points
4th and 5th 10 Points
Medication Control :
FEl testing is available for random sampling or on DC demand .
All necessary treatment for horses competing should be done through
official veterinarian , who will be the appointed as show veterinarian ,
the person responsible for the horse will ask the vet who treats the
horse to complete a treatment from and present it to the DC – vet at
the show .
In the event of a tie in qualifying places
The higher place will be given to the horse with the most points for
type . If there is still a tie , the higher place will be given to the horse
with the most points in movement . Failing a decision on either of
these , one judge chosen by ballot will name his preference.
This method will apply in case of tie below qualifying places
Championships
The first and second placed horses in each class qualify for the
championship . The Junior Female Championship from 1 to 3 year
old fillies ( classes 1,2and 3) , The Junior Female Championship
from 1 to 3 year old colts ( classes 7,8and 9). The Senior Male
Championship from the classes of mares 4 year and older ( classes
4,5 and 6) the Senior Male Championship from the classes of mares
4 year and older( classes 10,11 and 12) , all Championship will be
judged in accordance with EAHSC Rules for Championship .
The Gold medal winner is selected from amongst the horses placed
first in their class by individual written votes from each judge . in
the event of a tie the horse that received the highest number of
points in its class will be declared Gold medal winner . in the event
of a further tie , the " Rules for Ties in Qualifying places " will
apply.
The Silver medal winner will be selected in the same way as the
Gold medalist , from all other horses that have qualified for the
championship .
All horses that qualify for their respective championships mask part in the
Unless a certificate from the DC veterinarian is produced , failure to compete
will disqualify the horse from the show , with its record of score and class
Placing being deleted and the horse being disqualified from showing for the
period of one year as from the date of the show. In the event of a
disqualification, horses placed behind the disqualified horse will move up a
place in the class but not be entitled to enter the Championship.
Prizes and Rosettes:
1. Trophies and Rosettes for the winners (from first to fifth placed horses).
Documents:
2. All entries must show a photocopy of a valid passport to check the
identity of the horse, with there vaccination been shown and according
to vaccination regulations.
3. Passports of horses coming from abroad should include the dates of their
vaccinations according to FEI Rules.
4. The passport must be shown to DC on Demand any time before or
during the show.
Complaints:
5. The organizing committee will investigate the complaint with the DC
and reach the final verdict that will no longer be subject to further
discussions nor appeal.
6. The organizing committee will not allow by any means the improper
manners of objections and reserves the right in taking any action
stipulated in the ECAHO rules that can vary from disqualifying the
horses entered by the same owner and can go further to prohibit the
owner for one or more future shows.
Vet. And Farrier:
7. Vet and a Farrier will be available throughout the show. Costs are to be
covered by the exhibitor.
Liability disclaimer :
8. The organizer accepts no liability for exhibitors' costs. The organizers
shall not be liable for death, injury, disease or damage to any person ,
horse or property however caused. It is furthermore an express condition
of entry that each entrant shall indemnify the organizers against all
actions, costs, claims, demands or liability whatsoever arising out of any
action in which he or she may be concerned.
Starting order:
9. Starting order in each class will be from younger to older horses.
10. Horses are not allowed to start unless the handler wears the exhibit
number sheets, exhibit number sheets will be obtained at the secretary at
the showground one day before the show.
Vaccination Regulations:
11. All horses should receive the primary course of vaccination (two doses).
12. No vaccination may be given within 7 days of the day of arrival at
Rabab Show.
13. Rules for Equine Influenza vaccination for all horses competing in
ECAHO competitions will apply, local vaccine is available at the
National Vaccine Research Institute.
Rules for Equine Influenza vaccination:
14. All horses must have received a primary course of two vaccination
doses administered a minimum of 21 and a maximum of 92 days .
15. Thereafter a third dose, called the first booster vaccination, must be
given no more than 6 months after the second vaccination of the primary
course, a shorter vaccination interval is permitted.
16. Booster vaccinations must be given at 12 month interval i.e within 365
days of the last dose.
17. The vaccine should be administered according to the manufacturer's
instructions, It is not permitted to change the route of administration
between the first and second vaccination of the primary course.
18. Vaccines must be administered by a veterinarian and details of the
vaccine must be recorded in the passport, signed and stamped by the
veterinarian who administered the vaccination.
Sanctions for vaccination irregularities, considering 12 month interval
between boosters :
19. Up to one week late : affine of E130.
20. Between one and two weeks late a fine of E200.
21. More than 2 weeks late a fine of E280 , the horse will not be allowed to
compete, and must leave the show ground as soon as possible.
22. No correct primary course or first booster vaccination, a fine of E280 ,
the horse will not be allowed to compete and must leave the show
ground as soon as possible ( the vaccination must be restarted all over
again ).
23. A horses born before 2013 that have received the primary course of
vaccination but not the 1st six month booster will be allowed to
participate with out being sanctioned.
All Irregularities will be recorded by the DC in the passport of the horse
concerned written in capital litters in red ink.
Other Regulations:
24. Withdrawn horses with out informing Dc subject the owner to a fine of
E200
25. Horses coming late to the collecting ring will not be allowed to
participate.
26. Blood and urine samples are to be taken for detection of prohibited
drugs. The samples will be drawn by members of the DC committee and
the assigned qualified veterinarian from champions, as well as random
samples from participating horses.
Rules for Conduct of Shows:
1. By participating at a show organizers, judges and exhibitors and handlers
agree that they will unconditionally submit themselves and the persons
accompanying them to the "Rules for Conduct of Show" and, as regards
veterinary matters and drug misuse, to the relevant ECAHO Veterinary
Regulations and ECAHO Rules for medication control. The accompanying
persons include e.g. persons representing the show organizer , trainers, as
well as assistants of any of those persons. They will accept the jurisdiction
of the Disciplinary Committee (DC), the Standing Disciplinary Committee
(DC), the Standing Disciplinary Committee (SDC) and the ECSHO
Appeals Committee (EAC). Show organizers are not permitted to
introduce rules which are in conflict with EAHSC "Rules for Conduct of
shows" the person who has signed the entry form will be considered to be
the person responsible for the horse in question. These Rules will be
interpreted when necessary under the provisions of the laws of
Switzerland.
2. Horses must be accompanied at the show by horse passport containing all
vaccination records those horses coming from a country that does not issue
a passport, must be accompanied by an official registration document
which includes a graphic description and all vaccination records.
The show organizer:
3. The show organizer reserves the right to refuse an entry, but must give the
reason for refusal in writing.
4. The show organizer will issue a printed show catalogue. The name of
every horse has to be printed in the show catalogue, as well as the names
of sire, dam, (and maternal grandsire if possible) date of birth, and the
names of the breeder and the owner. Should a horse's name not be
mentioned in the catalogue, its participation at the show will be allowed
only if the exhibitor cannot be blamed for the omission, it will be for the
DC to decide. The show catalogue shall furthermore contain.
The Rules for Conduct of Shows.
Judging system used the rules for ties and the rules for
championships.
For Shows outside Europe (as defined by the Constitution of
ECAHO, Art.3.2 ) : where prize money is allowed, the total amount
and distribution of prize money.
5. No class may be split unless there are more than 16 horses entered.
Combination of a class with the next age group of the same sex is
permitted only if the number of entries for the class is below three.

No announcement indicating the identity, breeding or past
performance of exhibits, or the identity of their owners will be made
during judging. It is, however, permissible for this information to be
give out after the scores sheets have been collected for each exhibit.
Show organizers will not release details of competitors or their
exhibits to the press at any time prior to the catalogue being put on
sale at the showground. Catalogues will not be offered for sale,
published or posted on the internet more than one day before the
commencement of the show.
7. No member of the show organizing team may judge.
8. The show organizer will ensure a proper rotation of judges.
9. The show organizer will provide appropriate transport, accommodation
and meals during the show, for the judges, DC members, ring masters and
any other ECAHO show official. If a judge, DC member or ring master
cancels the invitation after the travel arrangements have been made, he will
pay all the arising costs out of this booking.
10. No gifts in the form of fess or money are allowed to be paid or given by
the organizer, nor accepted by the judges, DC members and ring masters.
Material gifts are allowed.
Judges:
11. EAHSC listed judges and judges invited to judge at ECAHO affiliated
shows agree to judge with integrity and honesty and to carry out their
judging duties solely with the objects of ECAHO and the welfare of the
horse in mind.
12. Judges will not consult the show catalogue before or during the show
catalogue before or during the show at which they are judging.
13.
Judges appointed at a show will not knowingly judge horses
concerning which there may be an actual or apparent conflict of
interest. No judge appointed at the show may exhibit, ride, drive or
handle an entered horse.
Exhibitors will declare on the entry form any actual or apparent
conflict of interest with any of the judges invited for the show. Any
exhibitor not declaring an existing conflict of interest will forfeit all
entry fees and will be prevented from showing the horse.
Organizers will not accept any entries for which any actual or
apparent conflict of interest with one of the appointed judges has been
indicated, unless a reserve judge is available.
14. An actual or apparent conflict of interest may occur if a horse is judged
that :
Has been bought or sold by the judge either as owner or agent.
Is owned in whole or part by the judge or by a member of the judge's
of the judge's family, or business partner in an Arab horse business
venture.
Has been leased by the judge, at any time.
Has been bred by the judge or is the property of a breeding
organization in which the judge is or was an employee.
Has been regularly trained, examined or treated by the judge in a
professional capacity.
Is the subject of an on-going negotiation to buy or lease, or a
provisional purchase condition to which the judge is a party.
In case of doubt, the DC's decision will prevail.
Any judge may decline to judge any horse if they consider themselves to have
a conflict of interests concerning that horse.
15. In the show ring, all communication between judges and handlers prior to
the presentation of prizes will be through the ring master.
16. Judges may withhold any award if in their opinion the exhibit does not
merit such an award.
Conduct of Halter Classes:
17. Handlers will be neatly dressed. They may wear any costume normally
worn in their country of origin.
18. Handlers will not wear clothes carrying any form of advertising which
discloses the connection of the horse they are handling.
19. The judge(s) may request that the ring master order unruly horses to be
withdrawn.
20. The judge(s) may request that the ring master ask a handler to open a
horse's mouth or pick up its feet for inspection.
21. Exhibits are to be judged standing, walking and trotting. Handlers that do
not comply with the ring master's instructions regarding the above may be
given a Yellow/Red card by the ring master. The judges, or if more than
one , the panel of judges may request that the ring master show a handler a
yellow or red card.
22.
Horses will appear in the collecting ring no less than 10 minutes
before the start of the class.
Exhibits that appear late ( missing the walk around the ring ) will be
excluded from the class.
23. Stallions and colts aged three years and over must be shown wearing
bridles and bits that are both secure and comfortable for the horse. All
bridles without bits are equally to be both secure and comfortable for the
horse.
24.
Any horse becoming loose in the collecting ring is subject to a penalty
(of a fine not exceeding E100 at the discretion of the DC.
Any horse becoming loose in the show ring will immediately continue
to be shown. And is subject to a penalty (of a fine not exceeding
E100) at the discretion of the DC. Should the horse become loose a
second time it will be disqualified.
Foal classes:
25. Foals may not compete in EAHSC Championships, nor will they qualify
for any future Title or A Show.
26. When foal classes are organized at EAHSC affiliated shows, the EAHSC
Rules will apply.
27. Foals must have a minimum age of 6 months at the date of the show.
28. The use of metal halters and halters with metal chains is forbidden.
29. A comparative judging system will apply.
Soundness:
30. Exhibits that appear to be lame may be assessed and placed by the judges
may exclude any horse so lame that assessment will inflict pain.
Disguising of Exhibits:
31. No alteration of the basic color of the skin, coat or hooves is permitted.
Hoof paints, colorless varnishes, coat days, glitter spray and cosmetic
operation including skin grafts are forbidden. Colorless hoof oils, Vaseline
or oil and white chalk used on white legs may be accepted.
32. Artificial methods of dilating the eyes or affecting the natural action of the
horse or otherwise influencing its action or behavior by oxygenating the
bloodstream or by the use of weights artificially weighted shoes, or by
electrical or chemical treatment of any kind at any time before or during
exhibition are forbidden. Burns, cuts or other marks on the body of any
exhibit in such places or positions as to indicate that prohibited methods
have been used, will be regarded as full and adequate grounds for
exclusion of any exhibit from competition, at the discretion of the DC with
veterinary advice.
33.
In halter classes horses may be fully or partly body-clipped, subject to
eyelashes being left uncut, hair inside the ears left unshaved and
tactile hair left intact around the nose, muzzle and the eyes. Horses
not fulfilling these criteria will not be allowed to participate.
No equipment intended to alter the natural appearance of the horse is
permitted in the stables, including neck sweats, neck collars, tail
racks, hobbles or weights. Anyone using such equipment on the
showground may be suspended by the DC for the period of the show.
Cruelty :
34. Excessive whipping or shacking, excessive stimulation by noise or
intimidation , excessive circling of the horse, use of electric shock devices
or infliction of pain by any means is forbidden in all parts of the
showground or stable areas, at all times.
35. The above offences are punishable by the issue of a Yellow/Red card.
ENFORCEMENT
36. Verbal warnings: DC members , ringmasters , stewards or show officials
may issue verbal warnings . These are not recorded in the DC report .
37. yellow and red cards may be issued by DCs and Ringmaster in the
collecting ring and main ring . They are issued to a handler and are a visible
and public warning of an offense having been committed . The date and
offence will be recorded on the handler license and in the DC report and must
be made public by announcement at the show and / or on the ECAHO website
and / or other usual means of communication of ECAHO.
38. A Yellow Card may be issued if there is a further offense after a verbal
warning or it may be issued without such warning
39. A Red Card will be issued of the handler receives a second yellow card
for having committed a further handling offense during the same show . The
offender will then be banned from handling any horses for the rest of the show
in which he receives the red card . The horse being shown by a handler when
he receives a red card may be shown by another handler at the end of the
class . in the event of a serious offence involving mistreatment or dangerous
behavior , DCs may issue a red card without prior warning .
40. Any handler disobeying the instructions of any DC member , judge or the
ring master may be punished immediately by being shown a Yellow or Red
card .
Veterinary Matters
41. Horses with apparent clinical signs of a disease may not participate at the
discretion of the DC veterinarian . if the DC veterinarian diagnoses apparent
clinical signs of a contagious disease , the horse must be immediately put into
quarantine and may no participate in the show .
42. Vaccination regulations for shows will require 12 months intervals
normally , or shorter where local / national authorities mandate it . such
shorter intervals to be shown on the entry from
43. All veterinary treatment necessary at the show ground must be carried out
according to ECAHO veterinary regulations’ . The person it to the DC –vet at
the show . Any treatment given to a horse immediately prior to a show should
be recorded on a treatment form by the treating vet and presented to the DC
upon arrival at the show .
44. Rules for Equine influenza vaccination
All horses must have received a primary course of two Vaccination
doses administered a minimum of 21 and a maximum of 92 days apart .
Thereafter a third dose , called the first booster Vaccination , must be
given no more than 6 months after the second Vaccination of the
primary course . a shorter Vaccination interval is permitted . Booster
Vaccination must be given at 12 month interval with in 365 days of the
last dose or shorter interval where local or national authorities mandate
it .
No Vaccination may be given within 7 days from the day of arrival at
Rabab show
Route of administration : the vaccine should be administered according
to the manufacturer’s instructions : intramuscular injection or intranasal
administered according to change the route of administration between
the first and second Vaccination of the primary course .
Vaccines must be administered by a veterinarian . The details of the
vaccine . serial/batch number, the date and route of administration must
be recorded in the passport , signed and stamped by the veterinarian
who administered the Vaccination.
The entering of Vaccination details in a new passport or a duplicate : if
the Vaccination history of a horse is very long the veterinarian may use
following statement " The Vaccination history of this horse is cored to
date ….
( enter the last Vaccination date )" , signed and stamped by a veterinarian .
Sanctions for Vaccination irregularities , considering a 12 month
interval between boosters :
Up to I week late : a fine of E130
Between I and 2 weeks late : a fine of E200
More than 2 weeks late : a fine of E280 , the horse will not
be allowed to compete and must leave the show ground as
soon as possible .
No correct primary course or first booster Vaccination : a fine
of E280 the horse will not be allowed to comate and must
leave the show ground as soon as possible .
Horses born before 2009 that have received the primary
course of Vaccination but not the first 6 month booster will be
allowed to participate without being sanctioned
All irregularities will be recorded by the DC in the passport of
the horse concerned , written in capital letters in red ink .
45. All veterinary treatment necessary at the show ground must be carried to
FED veterinary regulations The person responsible for the horse will ask the
vet who treats the horse to complete a treatment from and present it to the DC
–vet at the show .
46.
The administration of any substance not a normal nutrient ( including
irritants applied to the skin or mucous membranes or mydriatic drugs
in the eyes ), whether intentionally or unintentionally which may
affect the performance , temperament or soundness of an exhibit is
forbidden .
The DC may order chemical tests on any exhibit .
Judges may request the DC to test any horse .
Complaints
47. A show organizer , appointed judge , ring master ,exhibitor ,owner or
handler of a horse entered at the show may lodge a complaint alleging
infringement of the rules of the EAHSC , contained in the "Blue Book " A
complaint concerning a horse or handler is to be made in writing within hour
of the alleged infringement occurring . Any other complaint . except
concerning a complaint about a judge or any other official including show
organizers , is to be made in writing before the end of the show . A deposit of
E200 , or equivalent in local currency will be lodged with the DC and may be
retained if the complaint is considered frivolous , at the DC discretion . Such
forfeiture belongs to ECAHO .
48. Any complaint about a judge or any other official including the show
organizers is to be made in writing and signed by two individuals. Such
complaint must contain any evidence and be sent ECAHO executive secretary
with full name and postal address of complainant within 3 days of the show .
A deposit of E300 must be paid in accordance with the instruction and
deadline given by the Executive secretary ( show section ) .The procedure will
be conducted in accordance with the for rules for disciplinary committees .
Rules for tie in Qualifying places
49. in the event of a tie in the Qualifying places of a class the higher place will
be given to the horse with the most points for type . if there is still a tie , the
horse with the most points for movement . Failing a decision on either of these
, one judge chosen by ballot will name his preference .
Rules for Championships
50. Championships will be judge as follows :
The horse placed first in their class line up ordered according to age
. The horses placed second in their class line up behind them in the
same order .
The first planed horses will be judged individually, standing and
trotting.
The judge will not discuss the horses.
The Champion Gold medal winner is selected from amongst the
horses placed first in their class by individual votes from each judge
. The best placed horse will be champion Gold medal winner. in the
event of a tie , the horse that received the highest number of points
in its class will be declared champion Gold medal winner in the
event of a further tie the " Rules for tie in Qualifying place " will
apply
51. The silver medal winner will be selected in the same way as the Gold
medalist, from all other horses that have qualified for the Championship .
52. The Bronze medal winner will be selected using the same used to select
the silver medalist .
53. The vote of the judge Championships will be announced and will be
published at the show office immediately after the judging has finished .
45. A fourth horses will be selected using the Bronze medal winner be
disqualified . if this exhibit is not apparent from the voting papers , the judge
will be asked to nominate one . This horse will not be announced . in the event
that two or more of medal winners are disqualified no further substitution will
be made .
55. If a horse placed first in its class is not able to take part Championship the
horse placed second in the class will move forward and be judged with the
other horse placed first . should a horse placed first be sent out of the ring by
the judge for any reason it will be deemed to have taken part in the
Championship and therefore the second placed horse will not be judged with
other first placed horses will not be permitted .
56. All horses that qualify for their respective Championships must take part
in the Championship . Unless a certificate from the DC veterinarian is
produced , failure to compete will disqualify the horse from the show , will
disqualify the horse from the show , with its record of score and class placing
being deleted and the horse being disqualified from showing for the period of
one year as from the date of the show . in event of a disqualification , horses
placed behind the disqualified horse will move up a place in the class but not
be entitled to enter the Championship .
