BASED
PAY?
Skill based pay is a compensation program based on employees ability to gain additional
skills or competencies thru training, experience, schooling or demonstrated competency. Unlike
other pay systems such as performance management or time in grade/seniority
compensation systems, skill based pay rewards employees for acquiring additional
competencies that can be utilized by the company to drive performance improvement.
