Birth and Early Life
Sukhshinder Shinda (AKA Sukhshinder Singh Bhullar) was born in Handsworth, Birmingham, England on May 29,1972 and is currently 41 years old. As a teenager he learned classical punjabi from artists like Jaipal Singh Matharu, Laal Singh Bhatti, and Ustad Ajit Singh. As well he was trained in many punjabi instruments.Ever since his birth he has had a knack for music and an amazing voice.
Significance to PunjabSukhshinder Shinda is known worldwide for taking the classic folk version of punjabi music to the new level creating a new type of bhangra along the way.He is also well known for producing all of famous singer Jazzy-B’s work along with a significant amount of Amrinder Gill’s tracks.

Some of Shinda’s famous works are Putt Jattan Da, Chardi Kala, and many more. Other famous albums include Balle, Living in the Dream, and the Collaborations trilogy.

Shinda is known for modernizing Punjabi music and culture in a legendary way. Never again are we looked at as odd or different, but unique and diverse with our ways with culture with a western touch. Without Shinda we would never be who we are today, we would still be mainstream.
