To let all of us know about the implication & critical gaps between motivational theories and their practice in PTCL
INTRODUCTION • PTCL Pakistan Telecommunication Company
Limited was incorporated in Pakistan on December 31st 1995 and commenced business on January 1st 1996. The company is listed on Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad stock exchanges.
• In 2006 PTCL was privatized and management control was handed over to Etisalat. Now about 62.5 per cent shares of PTCL are owned by the government , 26 per cent Etisalat, and 11.5 per cent are with the general public shareholders.
• The registered office of the Company is situated at PTCL Headquarters, g-8/4 Islamabad
BRIEF HISTORY
1947 Posts & Telegraph Department established.
1962 Pakistan Telegraph & Telephone Department.
1995 About 5 % of PTC assets transferred to PTA, FAB & NTC.
1996 PTCL formed and listed on all Stock Exchanges of Pakistan.
1998 Mobile and Internet subsidiaries established.
2000 Telecom Policy Finalized.
2003 Telecom Deregulation Announced.
2006 Etisalat’s takes over PTCL’S management.

When managers organize they’re defining what is to be done and creating a structure that enables those activities to be completed efficiently & effectively

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Established in 1996 & was re-organized in 2005. PTCL
human resource system is known as HRIS-PTCL and it is working under SEVP & GM at regional centers.
HR manager plays a very important role in hierarchy, and also in between the higher management and low level employees. He is one of the most important people to achieve company‘s overall objective by properly managing the most useful company resources.
main objective of HR department is to meet company needs of the human resources and the needs of the people hired by the company. The management of PTCL considers that in order to stay competitive and to meet the needs of their customers they should focus on their employees. They consider employees the main assets of organization and focusing on providing them the better facilities
