High Quality Specialised Prosthetics
There are now many techniques and tooth options available to create natural looking complete and partial dentures. Our modern high quality teeth are fabricated in layers with various inclusions of characterisation, translucency and opalescence which give a subtle response to changing light conditions to achieve a remarkable lifelike appearance. We can also create a natural matching appearance to the patient’s own gingivae which enhances the whole cosmetic appearance of the prosthesis.
Indications:• Full arch missing teeth - complete dentures• Replacing missing teeth where there are existing teeth left - partial dentures
Advantages:• Dentures can be cheaper than other options particularly if many teeth are involved• It is easy to make adjustments and additions to plastic dentures• Dentures can make eating easier and make speech clearer• Dentures support the muscles of the face, sometimes providing a more youthful appearance• Modern dentures are more comfortable and look more like natural teeth than those made with previous technologies and materials
Disadvantages:Dentures must be removed and cleaned frequently to avoid disease, may move during eating and speaking and require muscle control, which some people find difficult. Many have a psychological aversion to having dentures and acceptance may be difficult.
