Introduction
At present vegetables are very important crop and cultivated in an area of 37.22 million hactores with an annual production of 630.75 metric ton . Vegetable growers face a number of problems during the production process . In this study we tried to identify those field level problems of farmers .
Objectives
To asses the nature and extent of constraints faced by farmers during the cultivation of vegetables .
To determine and describe the selected characteristics of commercial vegetable grower .
Methodology
Location of the study – shutiakhali of vobokhali union under mymensing sadar upazilla of mymensingh district. Population and sample – 20 farm families were selected for data collection . Selection of variables – 9 characteristics of farmers were selected as independent variable and 1 was dependent variable .
Methodology
Independent variables a. Ageb. Formal educationc. Family sized. Farm sizee. Farming experience f. Annual family incomeg. Training received h. Credit received i. Knowledge of farmers on vegetable cultivation
Dependent variables a. Problems on vegetable
cultivation

Conclusion On the basis of our findings following conclusion can be
drawn – Lack of training facility and communication
gap with extension agents were observed .Poor seed quality and adulterated fertilizer
was considered as major problems .
Recommendation
DAE needs to arrange more training programme for vegetable growers
Communication gap between grower and extension agent needs to be minimized .
BADC needs to supply more qualified or disease resistant seeds
Government needs to be more rigid about taking action against adulterated fertilizer producers .
