CONTRIBUTION 1
THE RAISIN TRADE
It would be very interesting that in September, a recreation of how was the Dénia of the end of the 19th century was performed. The trade of the raisin as the epicentre of the socio-economic life of the city. Horse drawn carts carrying the raisin to the warehouses, the package of the raisins and all the process involved. Theatre companies should perform the event, like similar events that the village of Carcaixentorganizes : the Orange and the Modernist Fair
CONTRIBUTION 2
DÉNIA CITY OF CINEMA
Dénia was considered years ago an authentic film set. Important producers set out in our city to shoot their films. In more recent times, series, documentaries have continued to be filmed ... In the region we have filmmakers, actors and audiovisual creators. Some Goya awards were achieved in the field of animation.
Also a few years ago a Film Festival began, which had no continuity. Therefore, it would be interesting to recover that forgotten cultural heritage and give it value through a festival, forum or similar. In addition, as we are UNESCO Creative City, collaborations or projects could be initiated with the UNESCO Creative Cities of Cinema (Rome, Bristol, Sydney ...)
C ONTRIBUTION 3
REHABILITATION OF THE OLD PORTLAND FACTORY OF DÉNIA
The Dénia Portland factory is part of the few industrial monuments of the twentieth century and miraculously still remains there . Its everlasting profile breaks the lines of the mountainous landscape. Dénia a changing city, and so indebted to its cultural, social and industrial past. It would be interesting to rehabilitate that scenario of the past, to rebuild it in a place for cultural encounters, science workshop or as a technological museum of those times
