Despite claims by various authors that conflict of laws plays a limited role in arbitration, case law fromnumerous jurisdictions proves the opposite. It can be assumed that with the advent of new questions andnew players the importance will even increase.Based on selected contributions to the forthcoming second edtion of a book by Ferrari/Kröll (eds), Conflictof Laws in International Arbitration, the conference will address and discuss the law applicable to some ofthese questions.
