3/ VESSEL DESCRIPTION
Type of vessel: 2011 Fontaine Pajot Mahe 36 Evolution – Duo version catamaran.
Dimensions:
Length overall - 36’1” / 11.00 metres.
Beam - 19’ / 5.9 metres.
Draught - 2’11”/ 0.900 metres.
Gross tonnage - 5000kg light ship.
4/ HULL & TOPSIDES CONSTRUCTION
Hull construction:
Factory built solid bottom FRP construction vinylester resin with cored topsides.
The underwater surfaces have been epoxy coated since new.
No core sample available for inspection.
Moisture meter readings low & constant denoting no apparent osmotic action present.
The underwater surfaces appear in very good condition with no apparent dame excepting
anchor chain chafe to the starboard bow.
Sacraficial fin keels appear in good condition well secured with no movement.
This was re antifouled at survey slipping.
All laminating, panel & bulkhead joining appears to the highest standard.
The antifoul is flaking in places due to heavy thickness.
All structural members internal & external where able to be inspected appear in excellent
condition.
External topsides appear in excellent original highly polished condition.
Light alloy sponson battens fitted.
Transom scoops with steps are fitted for in water boarding.
Escape hatches are fitted in port & starboard washplaces in case of inversion.

External accommodation surfaces & deck appear in excellent original polished gelcoat
condition.
Vessel handrails pupits & pushpits in good condition.
Glued glass windows & opening alloy hatches fitted.
Accommodation fitted out with with modern laminates & Birch paneling with Rosewood
door trims.
Dark timber look floor vinyl throughout.

aft to double berth, up main bridge deck. Bridge deck;
Main deck large bridge deck saloon with U settee.
Port & starboard forward storage units & starboard aft quarter galley unit.
Deckhead of fibreglass.
Port aft quarter electrical cabinet.
Cockpit;
Aft from bridge deck saloon sliding door to main cockpit with raised command console to
starboard with generous aft seating.
Optional cockpit solid roof fitted for weather protection in good condition.
Davits fitted for tender stowage aft.

The bilges areas throughout the vessel are clean / painted with 4 automatic electric bilge
pumps fitted.
Hand bilge pump fitted in cockpit.
All internal hull surfaces & framing where able to be inspected appear in excellent condition
with no apparent movement.
All through hull skin fittings & valving of high quality plastic appear visually in good
condition.

Both engine rooms are in excellent condition, all systems professionally installed.
Easy access to all machinery for servicing.
*Salt water present in starboard engine room from sea suction pump leakage.
8/ MACHINERY Twin Volvo D1 - 30 diesel motive power coupled to Volvo 130S Sail drives with Flexofold
folding propellers.
Propulsion engines;
Flexibly mounted twin Volvo D1 - 30 Yanmar 3 cylinder 27.3 horsepower / 20.36 kw 4
stroke diesels, fresh water cooled through heat exchangers.
Engine no. Port3819867 / 51301018506 , Starboard 3819867 / 51301018507.
Engine hours: Port 1256.9, starboard 1258.2.
The engines started easily with minimal smoke & propelled the vessel smoothly with
minimal loading to obtain hull speed.
Oils clean with oil analysis testing completed on main engines & attached to survey.
*Starboard side raw water pump seal leaking.

*Portside gearbox leaking oil around dip stick & dripping onto saildrive seal ring, requires
repair & cleaning of oil to avert damage to rubber.
Exhaust system;
Wet exhaust system with rubber hosing to waterlock muffler system for both engines.
Syphon breaker units fitted to sea suction system to avert back flow.
Fuel system;
Plastic fuel tank behind starboard berth panel, 220 litres capacity.
Primary & secondary fuel filters fitted to all machinery.
9/ VESSEL STEERING & ENGINE CONTROL
Twin lever Volvo engine & gear controls.
Wheel Morse cable to port & starboard rudders with slight play in cable at wheel.
Blade fin rudders, shaft tubes, quadrants & joining rods appear in good condition.

Custom built circuit breaker & battery management system panels for 12 volt & 240 volt
systems with separate switching for all accessories.
Wiring secured in appropriate trays & cabinets neat & professionally installed with isolation
& circuit breakers fitted to all systems.
LED lighting throughout vessel.
3 x 600 amp house batteries port engine room, 2 x 100 amp engine start batteries.
3 x 120 watt solar panels mounted aft on cockpit frame.
Silent wind 400 plus wind generator charger fitted.
Dolphin 60 amp charger fitted port engine room.
11/ AUXILIARY POWER
Powertech 2000 watt inverter fitted under port berth.

17/ SPARS, RIGGING & GEAR
Alloy anodised fractional rigged heavy section mast & boom appear in good condition.
Mast accended, sheaves at truck, spreaders , split pins & securing points appear in good
condition , *furler top shackle pins not moused.
*The boom gooseneck fitting is worn & requires ‘washering’ under the jaws to raise the top
‘hook’ off the main casting.
*The gooseneck securing bolts tapped to the mast are loose & require ‘Locktighting’
Slight staining to standing rigging.
Running rigging appears in good condition slight wear.
*Lazy jack lines worn at mast pulleys general wear & tear.
*The new main halyard has a “flat” bowline securing to the mast top.
Shortening, fitting a thimble if possible & re tying advised.
*The headsail furler foil is cracked & requires either repair or replacement as it will
eventually break not allowing the sail to be furled.
*Offshore sailing should not be contemplated until this item is repaired.

A new forward trampoline has been fitted.
Heavy flexing of the mast above the shrouds was noticed in fresh conditions, reefing required
to avoid this situation.

The vessel appears to have been very well built to a high production standard with the added
benefit of epoxy underwater hull coating to avert osmosis.
The vessels systems are simple & reliable with ease of maintenance.
The general condition of the vessel is excellent well maintained & lightly sailed in mainly
fine weather.
The vessel has minimal wear to components & machinery.
The vessel is a high performance coastal cruiser capable of fast passages under sail or motor
with easily driven hull shape.
