EDITORIALDESIGN
I decided to work towards producing a blog and online magazine highlighting new and undiscovered talent in the creative industries. The idea came about from a slight obsession with Instagram. I was made aware of quite how many amazingly talented people there are who go completely unnoticed. I felt this was a great opportunity to showcase, promote and review great work and the creators themselves. This project shows the initial stages of developing the brand and editorial style which will go on to become ‘TalentSpot’.

This illustrates a University project from our Research and Development module. In this project myself and two others were required to research and develop a case-study of a media or creative industry organisation to demonstrate our ability to understand the industrial context within which the company or organisation sits, creating a professionally compiled document. We were fortunate enough to develop a connection with the Head of Strategic Partnerships at StumbleUpon, who allowed us to develop the case study on the company. As the designer in the group I was required to design the 60 page case study and 94 page research file from inception to delivery. We were happy to acheive a high 1:1 for this work.

Here shows some examples of a catalogue design I produced for a University project developing a new surface pattern brand. The project also involved several surface pattern designs, product mockups, app design mockups, shop front design as well as web design.

crosschannelmarketing
Recent studies show that the main challenges marketing profes-sionals face are understanding customer interaction and how best to manage campaign execution across multiple channels. Many are using a multi channel approach by designing, building, executing, and measuring, each discipline individually; this takes up a huge amount of time, resource and budget and falls short of meeting these key challenges.
So what’s the answer? A cross channel marketing service that offers seamless interaction of channels, customer intelligence (data) and analysis.
At Nutshell we are cross channel specialists. Cross channel market-ing enables you to take advantage of both on and offline media, cre-ating fully automated, dynamic campaigns, generated with integrat-ed media channels. Driven by customer profile, each channel pro-vides users with a personal experience based on their preferences; literally their own private screening of your product or service! Cam-paign interaction is further enhanced with the addition of automated response messages that are triggered by customer behavior.
Every time customer information is captured, it is fed directly back to your database in real time; this refining process means that you obtain more customer intelligence and puts you in better shape to communicate with your customer in the future.
Plus, entire campaign activity and performance can be monitored and measured live across each channel, at a single source, through your personalised client dashboard.
This advanced cross channel marketing is game changing; it streamlines the process of communicating with today’s consumer in a way that they fully expect. So if you have a vision of more efficient operations, greater ROI and improved customer relations, you really should talk to us.

Here are some of the designs I created during the early stages of the development of a new brand of multichannel marketing solutions whilst working in the digital department of Reflex Litho, an established printing company.
BRANDING
Whilst working at Reflex Litho I was required to develop a new brand of multichannel marketing solutions. I was tasked with developing the concept from logo designs to promotional material. The project is still on-going, however, here you can see some of the latest developments. Having designed the logo I then went on to create an icon which would be of use throughout a variety of social media platforms. I have also produced designs for a flyer to be distributed at business exhibitions. As you can see I have also produced an infographic as marketing material to explain the process and advantages of the solutions.

SURFACEPATTERN
These are some examples of surface pattern designs I have developed over the last few months. I decided to use my love for illustration, in particular, line drawings, to develop pattern work to use on different products. I decided to scan in the images and use Adobe Illustrator to adapt and recolour the designs for print on different materials. I thought this was a good opportunity to sell the designs on Society6. All designs are available at: society6.com/florencethomas
SURFACEPATTERN
Once again, here are further examples of surface pattern work I have developed in my spare time. I have also used this as a way to develop my skills and enhance my online presence.
ILLUSTRATION
Here are a variety of illustrations I have produced as a hobbie over the last few years.
WEBDESIGN
As mentioned previously, during University I was given the freedom to produce my final project on a subject of my choice. I decided to teach myself html coding and develop a website to assist the development and visualisation of a branding and surface pattern project. The website incorporated image slideshows, product listings, as well as a store locator. In this project I also developed Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest profiles to develop the brand. For the Project as a whole I was awarded a 1:1.
WEBDESIGN
In addition to the branding shown previously, I was required to create a website using html. It is currently still in the early stages of development as I am waiting to further discuss and finalise the content and copy of the site with the Head of Digital. The brief I was given was to use the branding I had previously created to develop a site which fits with the brand and helps to demonstrate and promote the variety of multichannel marketing solutions available.
