The Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce is please to present the 4th Annual Fall Business Showcase on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at West Park Activity Center, 410 West D Street in Tehachapi. This one day Showcase provides local businesses and owners a unique opportunity to do both business-to-business networking and a chance to display their goods and services to the general public.
Last year's Annual Fall Business Showcase showcased the Greater Tehachapi area businesses in the best possible light and was a huge success with over 500 in attendance and all exhibitor spaces were sold out. Numerous positive comments and notes were received from last year’s exhibitors and attendees.
Participation is open to anyone and Chamber membership is not required, though membership means discounted fees for Showcase participation. To promote their distinctive menus, several
area restaurants will provide samples of their fare for those in attendance. In addition, free Wi-Fi will be provided for all exhibitors.
Admission the day to the event is free to all attendees and we expect 400-500 people to attend. The first 300 attendees will receive a free reusable cotton tote bag.
The Fall Business Showcase is an inexpensive way to promote business to potential clients. We hope our members and the business community at large will take advantage of this cost-effective means to reach customers.
For information on the numerous Exhibitor and Sponsorship opportunities, please contact the Chamber at 661-822-4180 or visit our website at www.tehachapi.com
Exhibitor space is limited and we expect to be sold out again this year, so please register early. Registration deadline is Friday, July 30, 2013.

June Chamber Network Luncheon
Please join the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce at our June Chamber Network Luncheon, Tuesday, June 18, 2013, 12:00 p.m. at our New Location, Don Juan's, 20700 South St, Ste B-C Our guest speaker will be David Shaw with the Tehachapi Valley CERT.
David will be discussing the CERT program, it's roll in our community and how businesses can become involved.
The FEMA and Kern County sponsored nation-wide program of Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) were established to help answer the need for immediate emergency help in disaster affected neighborhoods before professional first responders’ help can arrive.
Our local CERT program has been a recognized part of the Tehachapi Valley since 2002. The highly experienced CERT instructors give basic training to citizen volunteers care for their families first, and then come to help others after a disaster if professional first responder aid is delayed. These volunteers are trained in areas of personal and family disaster preparedness, fire safety, light search and rescue, and emergency medical triage, among other items.
There are CERT teams in Bear Valley, Stallion Springs, Golden Hills and Sand Canyon. All these teams are part of the Tehachapi Valley CERT program which is in partnership with Kern County Fire. CERT has been active in the Stallion Springs fire of last year and the West Fire as well.
The cost is $15 for Chamber Members, $20 for Non-Chamber members, which includes lunch. Reservations are required. Please make your reservation by calling the Chamber at 661-822-4180or email [email protected]. Reservation deadline is Friday, June 14, 2013.

When You’re Ready to Move Beyond Facebook...
Facebook is a great way to reach people who “like” your business and even some of their friends. We use Facebook as one of the many ways we con-nect to the community we’ve served for more than a century. “Likes” on our Facebook page have nearly doubled over the past year to more than 3000. Still, in April 2013, only 20% of the traffic on our news website came from Facebook. There are great ways to reach your customers online, and when you’re ready to move beyond Facebook, we’d like to help.
With more than 120,000 page views every month and more than 40,000 visitors to the TehachapiNews.com and TehachapiBuyandSell.com sites, we provide a variety of cost-effective ways for your business to reach our growing online audience.
