With this collection Piet Hein Eek has reproduced everyday materials like stone, wood and marble. When they cut marble they cut slabs of stone, if you take two consecutive slabs and flip them you get a mirror image. There is one roll of marble wallpaper, another roll that’s the mirror image of it, and in marble they call this book matching. The concept ‘Book Matching’ can be applied starting at two rolls.
