community?
Hypothesis: Community members will show an increased sense of security in and around Arboleda de Niños.
Conclusion: Arboleda de Niños has created a stronger sense of community and therefore increased percep6ons of safety.

welcoming outsiders (refugees) into their society?
Main findings: Most people hear the term refugee and think of the camps in Africa they see in the news. When they come to NYC they are grouped into the larger immigrant community.
Research Ques+on: In what ways is street performance in New York City a representa6on of some of the most
fundamental of human rights?
Hypothesis: Laws restric6ng where and how Buskers can perform in public restrict their freedom of speech and expression and do not correlate with public opinion regarding street performers.

Blue: Street performers should have full access to public space within the city. Red: Street performers should have the freedom to say and do whatever they would like in public spaces.
Conclusion: While the majority of the public approves of and appreciates Street Performance, they also believe that Buskers need to be regulated by authori6es which suggests that the laws alone may not be curtailing the basic rights that Performers deserve.
Research Ques+on: What is the mo6va6on behind a dona6on?
Hypothesis: Donors must have a high level of trust when making dona6ons.
Conclusion: Not knowing what organiza6ons or direct receivers use the dona6ons for is a key factor. The survey revealed a strong rela6onship between trust and the receiving organiza6ons – Trust was also brought up in the FG: one of the par6cipants indicated that they do not know what street performers do with the money they receive and for that reason never give money to them.
