Pitfalls and Common Issues
P&F sits on top of the complexity of your existing SAP HR configuration… Web-based UI’s of online forms keep complexity away
from the end user away but not from the configurer! Thorough Solution Design is essential!
P&F + UI settings + Workflow + ABAP services + underlying HR config = COMPLEX
A decoupled what? SAP P&F data updates use the Decoupled Infotype framework… But that doesn’t mean you need to start decoupling PA30
or ESS transactions Process Content; SAP sample content is very limited in scope
and artificially simple. Generic Services: SAP services are useful but not enough.
We’ve never seen a customer implementation without ABAP service development!
Dynamic Actions: P&F takes no account of dynamic actions in t588Z !
International Scalability; P&F makes it hard to use single forms across multiple countries
