    DIPLOMATIC: Issued to Indian diplomats and top ranking

    Get the Passport Application Form: One canapply for Passport through Online Registration,(Apart from this applicant can submit directly inthe respective passport office/ DPCs/Speed post

    centers.

    2.How to fill the Form: The Passport ApplicationForm is Machine Readable. Please follow theinstructions as follows: Use capital letters only.

    Particulars given in the form will be printed in thepassport. Therefore, please be careful in filling upthe form and avoid any mistakes.

    Use black/blue ball pen only

    Do not fill the form with pencils or ink-pen.

    While filling up the boxes, kindly leave one box blankafter each completed word.

    Write clearly within the box without touching theboundaries.

    Adjust the information to fit within the number of givenboxes.

    Visa

    VISA - is derived from a Latin word, i.e. Charta visa, which means paper that

    has been seen. It is a document that gives a person permission to travel and

    enter the country which issued the visa, subject to the permission of the

    immigration official at the time of actual entry at the port of entry. So, the

    possession of a visa is not in itself a guarantee of entry into the country

    Indian nationals travelling abroad require a validIndian passport and travel authority for thedestination country. The travel authority isnormally in the form of Visa, which is obtained

    prior to the journey, except in case of countrieswhere "Visa on Arrival" is available.

    Even for re-entry into the country, an Indiannational is required to be in possession of a valid
