I want to commend Crossways Staff
for their hard work and commit-
ment this Term. It was a very busy
term however quality teaching and
learning still prevailed and that was
evident in the results achieved by
our students. Many students
achieved excellent results and
awards will be handed out at our
last Chapel service which will in-
clude our Celebration of Learning
(Friday 29th June at 9:00 am). We
invite all parents and community members to attend this special
occasion.
I would like to encourage all parents who haven’t nominated a
school for their Reception children yet, to consider Crossways
Lutheran School or to make an appointment with me to discuss
the advantages of enrolling your children at Crossways Lutheran
School for 2019 start.

more exciting changes to look forward too. An ELC Parent Infor-

Bec (ELC teacher) and I will present information on: ELC Philoso-

ents there!
Something from the HEART:
Life is short, and many of us turn to Jesus because we want to
live forever. That’s not bad, but we don’t comprehend what
eternal life really is. We tend to crave the wrong things. We long
for something better, and we think it’s just ahead. If only I were
out of school. If only I had that job. If only I were married. If only
I could retire. If only . . . And then one day we catch an echo of
our grandfather’s voice as we wonder where the time has flown.
It is important to live every day and to strive to do your best
NOW. God will be there to carry you through the challenging and
easy times in your life. So let’s not think about the IF ONLY’s …
but accomplish what God has planned for each one of us NOW!
Lastly, I wish all the staff and students a well – deserved holi-
day. School closure for students will be on the 29th June (normal
time), for staff on the 5th July and will re- -open on Monday 23rd
July for Term 3. Have a great holiday and if you travel, travel
safe!
Blessings

On Wednesday 20th June Crossways Lutheran School took 21
Competitors from Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 to represent Crossways at
the 42nd Tcharkuldu Cross Country Run. The children did
extremely well. They all completed the course and behaved
responsibly. It was great to see them support and encourage
each other positively on the day.
Thankyou to Miss Norsworthy Nicola Cotton for your support on
the Day.

Yr 3/4 Streaky Bay Camp
……………………………………………..
On Wednesday, 13th June, Miss Bahr’s class travelled to Streaky Bay for their 3-day camp.
Although the weather started off bleak and miserable, the skies soon cleared and we were blessed with sunshine and beautiful days.
Students were filled with excitement as they arrived and settled into their cabins, before heading off to Murphy’s Haystacks for an afternoon exploration.
Students also had the opportunity to visit the wetlands at the Streaky Bay Area School and enjoyed scenic tours to destinations along the coast such as the Blowholes and Smooth Pools. Before returning on Friday, 15th June, students visited the Powerhouse Museum, had their photo taken with the giant shark and were also treated to lunch at the Streaky Bay Hotel.
Students are to be congratulated on their behaviour and positive attitude while away on camp. It was a fantastic and memorable experience!
Thank you to Mr. Puccio for driving the bus and to our helpers, Eleanor and Nikki.
Miss Bahr.

The Reception students had a visit last week from Ceduna
Police. The students learnt a lot about what Police do in our
community, had a look at the police car and got to hear the loud
siren. Thankyou to Ceduna Police for your visit.
