It was decided to leave it to thegeneral council and an ordinanceproviding for the extension of thefranchise two yeata will probably beintroduced at the Board of Aldermenmeeting tonight

The street car company to doubletrack its Broadway line must issuebonds and the bonds must be twentyyear bonds or they cannot be sold

The company present franchisehas eighteen years to run and byexchanging it for a new franchisemaking It twenty years or addingtwo years the new bond can easilybe tamed The Board of Works fii nowthrough with the double track projectand it is up to the general council

The architect reported in regard tothe new market house plans thatthey would be ready to examine nextWednesday and that the contractwould probably be ready to let notlater than September 1
