IntroductionPERCEPTION 4000 INTRODUCTION
PURPOSE
This manual identifies the replaceable system components and spareparts for the PERCEPTION® 4000 system.
ORGANIZATION
Information contained in this document is organized into four sections:
SECTION 1, INTRODUCTION—Identifies the purpose and organization ofthe PERCEPTION 4000 Installation Provisioning Manual, lists supportingdocumentation, and provides warranty and parts ordering information.
SECTION 2, ILLUSTRATED PARTS LIST—Provides l ist ings ofreplaceable parts and assemblies, keyed to exploded-view illustrations.
SECTION 3, PARTS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE—Provides a listing ofsystem components and spare parts that may be purchased.
SECTION 4, PART NUMBER INDEX—Provides an alphanumeric listing,by part number, of the parts and assemblies listed in Section 2.
HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE
The Illustrated Parts List is intended for use in the identification andrequisition of replaceable assemblies and parts. To successfully use theIllustrated Parts List, locate the part on the appropriate figure, note thenumerical item number of the part, find the item number in the associateddetailed parts list, and then compare the item number with the list of "PartsAvailable for Purchase" in Section 3.
SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION
The following documents can be used to reference further informationrelated to replacement parts and procedures for the PERCEPTION 4000system:
INSTALLATION MANUAL—Explains the entire installation procedure forthe PERCEPTION 4000 system.
TROUBLESHOOTING MANUAL—Provides information for start-uptesting, troubleshooting, and parts replacement.

PERCEPTION 4000 INTRODUCTION
WARRANTY INFORMATION
Telecommunication products under warranty will be repaired or haveappropriate par ts replaced in accordance with Toshiba AmericaInformation Systems, Inc.'s (TAIS's) warranty, and TAIS's warranty repairguidelines as may be applicable.
TAIS warrants that new parts equipment listed in this manual (exceptfuses, lamps, and other consumables) will, upon delivery to a retailcustomer by TAIS or an authorized TAIS dealer, be free from defects inmaterial and workmanship for twelve (12) months after date of purchase.
Parts repaired while still under the 12-month warranty period will remainunder warranty for the balance of the original 12-month period, or forninety (90) days, whichever is longer.
Repaired equipment out-of-warranty carries a ninety (90) day warranty onthe part, assembly or component that was repaired.
The sole obligation of TAIS or Toshiba Corporation under these warrantypolicies, or under any other legal obligation with respect to such part,assembly or component, is to repair or replace such part, assembly orcomponent as is malfunctioning.
Telecommunication products for which the warranty period has expired orwhich are otherwise excluded or disqualified by the terms of TAIS'swarranty will be repaired at such prices as set forth in TAIS's standardpricing schedules for repairs. TAIS reserves the right, in its sole option, tochange such prices and such pricing schedules without notice.
Refer to the Installation Manual for more information on PERCEPTION4000 warranty policies.

After compiling your list of system components and spares from the "PartsAvailable for Purchase" list in Section 3, contact your Toshiba CustomerService/Suppor t Representative at (800) 234-4TSD for orderinginformation.
