Weusedthebestmaterials,finecraftsmanshipandfinally,thecomponenthassurpassedthehardesttestssimulatingdownhill-ridesonthetestbench.

TheStemSpacer10/12liftsyourstemby12mm.Asanelevationofyourstemwouldalsoshortenyourridingpositionduetotheslackheadangleofmostmoderndownhillbikes,thisstemspacermovesthestemforwardby10mm.Inordertoonlyliftthefrontandnottoshortenit,ahorizontaldisplacementisneeded.Thishorizontaldisplacement(x)canbecalculatedasfollowing:

x=verticaldisplacement/tan(headangle).

Example:Byusingan8-mm-headset-spacerandtheStemSpacer10/12,youendupat20mmofverticaldisplacement.AmodernDH-bikemighthaveaheadangleof63degrees.

x=20mm/tan63°=10.19mm

Installationandmaintenance

Thestemspacermustbeinstalledbyaqualifiedandskilledmechanic!

1. Uninstallthestemfromtheupperforkcrown

2. Installthestemspacerunderyourstemandmakesurethatthescrewsarenotprotrudingthebottomsurfaceofthespacer(evenintightenedposition).

3. Removethespacerfromthestemagain.

4. Installthestemspaceronyourupperforkcrown,tighteningtheM6-screws(includedinthepackage)to7Nmbyatorquewrench.

5. Installthestemonthestemspaceraccordingtothestemmanufacturer’sadvice.

Pleasedoublecheckthescrewsfromtimetotime.Especiallyafterahardcrash,makesurethereisnodeformationonthestem,thestemspaceroryourhandlebar.Incaseofdamage,pleasereplacetherespectivecomponent.
