Dr.Subotic,aSteinwayArtist,isanAssociateProfessor-LecturerofMusicattheUniversityofUtah,andisthePresidentandMusicDirectorofINTERMEZZO,anacclaimedconcertseriesbasedinSaltLakeCity,Utah.SheteachespianoperformancestudentsintheBachelor,Masters,andDoctoralprogramsattheUniversityofUtah,aswellasthehighlysough-aftercourseinprofessionalcareerdevelopment.Dr.Suboticisthechiefproducerofthelive-streamingfacultyconcertseries(Live@Libby)andDirectoroftheTeacherDevelopmentpianopedagogyseminars.

Asaconcertpianist,Dr.Subotichaswonacclaimfromcriticsandaudiencesforher“Pierceplaying,”and“impressivechops”(SaltLakeTribune,),andher“nuancedandexpressiveplaying,beautifullyphrasedlines,andawonderfullylighttouch.”(Reichelrecommends,DeseretNews).Theonlineartsmagazine15ByteswroteaboutherrecentSchubertconcert“oneofthemostintuitivelyverdantandemotionallydrainingperformancesofanyofFranzSchubert’scompositionsthatIhaveeverheard,liveoronarecording…trulyastonishing.”Dr.Subotic’smusicalcareerbeganatagenine,whenherperformanceofDebussy’spianoworksforchildrenairedonnationaltelevisioninhernativecountry,theformerYugoslavia.UponwinningthetopprizeinYugoslavia'sNationalPianoCompetitionatagenineteen,shemovedtotheUnitedStates.Dr.SubotichassincebeenactiveasasoloistandachambermusicianintheAmericasandEurope,wheresheperformsindozensofconcertsayear,combiningconcertoappearances,solorecitals,chambermusiccollaborations,andorchestralperformances.RecentperformancesincludeseveralsoloappearanceswiththeUtahSymphony;andwiththeUtahChamberArtistsorchestra,playingbothChopinpianoconcertosback-to-back;performancesofBeethoven’sPifthpianoconcertowithTimpanogosSymphonyandtheDubrovnikSymphony;concerttoursinPuertoRicoandChile,theUtahpremierofAlbanBerg’sChamberConcerto,andaperformanceofProkoPiev’sthirdpianoconcertoattheChautauquaFestivalinNewYork.

In2014,Dr.Suboticbegantheunparalleledprojectofperformingthecompletesolosonatas,duosonatas,andpianotriosbyBeethoven-57worksinall.ShehassincepresentedtheBeethovenprograms,lectures,andmasterclassesinnumerousnationalandinternationalvenuesincludingtheInterHarmonyInternationalMusicFestivalinItaly,theWorldPianoConferenceinSerbia,theMistralConcertSeriesinSantiago,Chile,andtheUniversityofSantiagoinChile;theAcademyofMusicandtheMidsummerPianoFestivalinPrague.Theupcomingengagementsin2017includeconcertsandmasterclassesinRussiaandIsrael,andaperformanceofBrahms’secondpianoconcertowiththeUtahPhilharmonia.

Dr.Subotichasdistinguishedherselfasateacherwhoproducesawardwinningyoungperformers:herUniversityofUtahcollegestudentshavewonnumerouscompetitions,andhavebeenacceptedandawardedscholarshipstoprestigiousgraduatepianoprogramsnationallyandinternationally,attheMozarteumAcademyinSalzburg,theRoyalCollegeofMusicinLondon,theJacobsSchoolofMusicatIndianaUniversity,YaleUniversity,RiceUniversity’sShepherdSchoolofMusic,the

UniversityofMichigan,PianoTexasInternationalAcademyandFestival(incollaborationwiththeVanCliburnCompetition),andtheInterharmonyInternationalMusicFestival.

Dr.SuboticgraduatedfromtheformerYugoslavia’sStateMusicConservatoryatagePifteen,andreceivedaBachelorofMusicdegreefromBelgradeUniversityfouryearslater.ShehassinceearnedaMasterofMusicfromMichiganStateUniversity,andanArtistDiplomaandDoctorofMusicfromIndianaUniversity.HerDoctoralthesisexploredtheculturalandcompositionalconnectionsbetweenClaudeDebussy’sandToruTakemitsu'spianoworks.HerteachershaveincludedMenahemPressler,EvelyneBrancart,ArboValdma,LeonardHokanson,PeterFrankl,RalphVotapek,GyorgySebok,ByronJanis,JanosStarker,andJosefGingold.
