Our New Sea Cadet Chief Petty Officer
Cadet CPO Alina Montenegro
Palm Beach Naval Sea Cadet Alina Montenegro completed the rigorous
requirements for advancement to Cadet Chief Petty Officer and was “frocked”
into her new position by serving Chief Petty Officers at NOSC West Palm
Beach.
Council President Jack & Jianying Hanscom represented our council at the
event and passed along our sincere congratulations on this significant
achievement. (And we thank you Jack for your dedication in showing up when
the doctor advised otherwise!)

Cadet Alina Montenegro has been a truly outstanding Sea Cadet for several
years, and it is entirely fitting that her efforts resulted in being honored by the
NOSC Chief Petty Officers – a very special honor indeed. After receiving her
collar devices from NOSC CPO David Stuart and her father Francisco, the
NOSC CPOs stood as sideboys and piped the new Chief Montenegro aboard
her Sea Cadet unit.
Deirdre Krause was also present
for the proceedings and was a
key mentor to Cadet CPO
Montenegro during her formative
Sea Cadet years.
Well done to all! We in the Navy
League are proud to be able to
support such outstanding
performance.
