SUNDAY13th
On 13th Nov, we travelled by train from Córdoba to Málaga airport to fly to
London (Gatwick). The flight was fine and we were very excited about the
wonderful days we hoped to spend in England. It was our first visit to this
country. There, Marie Brandon, the first language assistant in our school, picked us up and helped us to get to Canterbury
Finally, we arrived in Canterbury at ten o’clock at night and we were
very tired but happy.
MONDAY 14th
The hotel was very nice. We stayed in double rooms. The following
morning we had a typical English breakfast: eggs with bacon, milk
and toasts. The German group was staying there too and we made friends with them very quickly.
In the morning we went for a walk in Canterbury. It is a beautiful, old city, full of
ancient monuments. Then at midday we went to Rochester, and we saw its fantastic cathedral
and the ancient Rochester castle.

That day, we met the students from the other countries: Italy, Greece, Cyprus. They were all
very friendly. Now, only the Polish were missing, as they would arrive on tuesday
TUESDAY15th
We went to Faversham to the Abbey School. The headmistress welcomed us and told us about the school. Then, we met some English students who showed us their school. It is much bigger than ours. It has seven buildings and a lot of huge playgrounds. Then, at lunch time, we went to the canteen and had lunch with the other students and teachers. Then the Polish students arrived.
After lunch, we met again and chose the Comenius
logo: the winner logo was made by Laura Muñoz, a
Spanish 2nd level student at our school!
Later, we went to Whitstable to a bowling alley. We had a great time
there!
WEDNESDAY16th
We visited the Canterbury Cathedral. It mixed Romanesque and Gothic styles. Later we went on a quick tour in Canterbury. It’s a really
beautiful place!!!!
In the afternoon we went to the Roman Museum, and later we returned to the Cathedral and
listened to the evensong.
