Journey of Hope in America:Quilts Inspired by PresidentBarack Obama dissects themilestone historic and momentousoccasion in American history- theelection of an African Americanman as Commander in Chief of themost powerful nation on earth. TheJourney of Hope will bring to broadaudiences a collection of powerquilts from a wide range of quiltingstyles. Art quilts, folk art quilts andtraditional quilts are included inthis exhibit.
Each of the works serves toeducate the viewing public about
presidential election of 2008.No other art form is so closely
culture as quilt making. Theexhibition of 50 quilts from some of
such as Adrienne Cruz, PeggieHartwell, Sandra German, SylviaHernandez, Deborah Lacativa,Viola Burley Leak, Susan Shie,Penny Sisto, Jim Smoote and
Adrienne Yorinks.
