BAIL APPLICATIONS FOR INDIGENT OR UNREPRESENTED PERSONS
This Practice Direction is made pursuant to Rule 4.2(2) of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court Civil Procedure Rules 2000 and is applicable to all the Member States and Territories in the jurisdiction of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.
1. Introduction
This Practice Direction supplements Rule 58 of the Civil Procedure Rules and provides a form for indigent persons and unrepresented persons to make application for bail.
2. Bail Application Form
2.1 A person who is in custody who is indigent or is not represented by a legal practitioner may make an application for bail using the form in the schedule to this Practice Direction.
2.2 An applicant must complete all the sections of the form. If for any reason there is information that is unknown this should be indicated on that section of the form by indicating “unknown”.
2.3 An applicant must ensure that the application is signed. For the purposes of this form this can be done by the applicant either writing out their name in full or where an applicant is unable to

Whereas, it is enacted by Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Ordinance Chapter 5.04 that if it appears to the Governor General acting on the advice of Cabinet that any land is likely to be required for a public purpose and it is necessary to make a preliminary survey or other investigation of the lands, he may cause a Notification to that effect to be published in the Gazette.
And Whereas, it is considered by the Governor General acting on the advice of Cabinet that part of certain parcels of land situate at Massacre Ridge in the Quarter of Anse La Raye are likely to be required for a public purpose to wit: Facilitate the Proper Management and Operations of the Pump House.
