We had a Meet & Greet session on 17th October. It
was really fun and exciting. Some students
volunteered to bring traditional dishes. We ate
plenty of delicious food such as satay, noodles,
curry puffs, onigiri and food from different
countries.
In addition, we played “Forming-A-Circle” teamwork
game. Everyone enjoyed the game!!
The best things that happened during the Meet &
Greet session was that we conversed in English and
we met all the students in Ascend.
It was a great learning experience which I enjoyed
thoroughly.

things to do this weekend! Hi Everybody,
I am Phong. I have been studying in Singapore since 1st September. My day starts at 7am & I go to
school from Monday to Friday. When I finish school, I go back home and do house work. I only have free
time on weekends.
When you move to Singapore, you would know Orchard Road which is the biggest central shopping area.
If you don't like to shop, you can go to Sentosa, which is a famous recreation island. You have to go to
Vivocity before you arrive in Sentosa. Vivocity is such a nice place. You can go shopping here. When you
finish shopping, you can go outside, sit and see the ocean. You can smell the ocean in the breeze. There
are some ships far out at sea. After that, you can go to the top of the building and you will see a small
splash pool where lot of children play. They look very happy.
In the evening, you can go to the restaurant on the top of Vivocity. I think it is a Swiss restaurant. It looks
like a buffet restaurant. It has a lots of food - Japanese, Chinese, French, Swiss... All of them are so nice.
They will give you one card and then you choose your food. They will check and you must pay when you
finish dinner at the restaurant.
I enjoyed myself so much when I came here at the weekend.
I hope this gives you an idea for your weekend.
