Spelling Tiers Choose ONE activity from each row (across). One red, one blue, one yellow, and one green. You will complete a total of four activities.
DO NOT write on this sheet. Return your tasks stapled together.
Write each spelling word without its
vowels. Replace each vowel with a line.
Write your spelling words in crayon or pen. Write each consonant letter in red and
each vowel in blue.
Write the words and cross out all of the silent letters.
Fold your paper in half. On the left, mix up the letters in your spelling words. On
the right, spell the word correctly.
Write each spelling word without its consonants. Replace each consonant
with a line.
Print each word. Next to it, write the word in your best
cursive.
Make a set of flashcards for studying your words.
Write each spelling word three times.
Write each spelling word in a rainbow of colors. First
write the words with a red crayon. Trace over the
words with a blue crayon. Finally, trace the words

Go to www.spellingcity.com. On the left, enter TEN of your
spelling words. Click on “Teach me” and follow the directions. Then, click on “Test Me” and follow the directions. Print out your report for the test at the
end and turn it in.
Go to www.spellingtime.com. Click on “New- Spelling program FREE” (do NOT
register or enter any of your information). Enter your
word list. On the right hand side, click “Test me” to take
a spelling bee! Print out your results to turn in.
