Abstract. Crockeriola stolarczyki, new genus and species from Borneo and Gymnogryllus machairodus unexpectus new subspecies from Java are described.

Type species - C. stolarczyki sp. n.

D e s c r i p t i o n. Shape o f body and co loration sim ilar to those o f o ther genera o f subfam ily. V enation o f m ale tegm ina m ore sim ilar to tha t o f Tramlapiola GOROCHOV, 1990, then to that o f Pteroplistus SAUSSURE, 1877 (Pteroplistes В Br u n n e r -WATTENWYL, 1873): m irror very large, apical area o f dorsal part slightly shortened (Fig. 4). Fore tib iae w ith w ell developed inner tym panum and reduced ou ter one. M ale anal plate sim ple, w ithout hook-like p rocesses (Fig. 5). M ale genitalia (Figs 1-3) w ith narrow transverse sclerite connecting lateral parts o f epiphallus w ith each other; ep iphallus also w ith long hooked distal p rocesses and shorter p rocesses directed m ed ially at m iddle part; endoparam eral apodem es fused w ith guiding rod; guid ing rod w ithout paired processes and hooks, ra ther w ide; valvae w ith large sclerotizations.

Included species: only type species.

R e m a r k s .A t p resent the subfam ily Pteroplistinae consists o f three genera: Pteroplistus, Tramlapiola, and Crockeriola gen. n. O ther genera included in this subfam ily by О т т е (1988,1994) belong to the subfam ily L andrevinae (GOROCHOV 1990, 1995). The new genus can be d is tin guished from Pteroplistes by sim ple m ale anal p late, larger m irro r and shorter apical area in m ale tegm ina. From Tramlapiola it d iffers in the presence o f transverse sclerite connecting lateral parts o f epiphallus. From both genera it d iffers in having endoparam eral apodem es fused w ith guiding rod, absence o f paired processes and hooks o f guiding rod, and presence o f sclero tizations o f valvae in m ale genitalia.
