Dear Friends,
I couldn’t be more thrilled about what lies ahead. We stand before a world of opportunities, thanks to our top-notch musicians, our wonderfully designed building and your tremendous support. To find out what gets me excited about music, just flip through the pages ahead. Our classical repertoire spans centuries and continents, from the majesty of Brahms, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven, to world premieres by some of the most imaginative talents in classical music today. Our fabulous guest artists include the legendary actor Christopher Plummer. Throughout the season, I’ll be inviting some of the finest conductors in the world — including Sir Neville Marriner, Krzysztof Penderecki and Helmuth Rilling — to lead the orchestra. Our pops concerts, led with style and good humor by Resident Conductor Albert-George Schram, will take a tour through bluegrass, world music and classic hit tunes, while Assistant Conductor Kelly Corcoran will bring a sense of fun and connection to our family and community concerts. All this and more is at your fingertips, so read on to find out about the great music we’ve got planned for you.
See you at the next concert,
