NOTE FOR USERS

Subject-numeric files

Five of the organisations covered by this deposit arranged their subject files in subject-numeric filing systems.

That of the National Farmers (NFUA) (Nl8/314-372) and its successor organisation, the Farmers Federation (AFF) (Nl8/424-584) overlap and both should be consulted. A list of the main classification headings used by the NFUA/AFF is at· Appendix A. Not all the titles are represented in the deposit.

The classification system of the Pastoral Produc\ers (APPU) (Nl8/26-244) is quite separate and terminates with the APPU merger with the NFUA to form the AFF. A list of the titles found in the deposit is at Appendix B.

The classification system of the ~~eatgrowers' Federation (AWF) (Nl8/732-784) is also separate and a list of the files is at Appendix c.

The Vegetable Growers (AVGF) files (Nl8/633-6) have classification numbers similar to the AFF.
