Modern Talent Acquisition Strategies That Work
Gradually the shortage of skilled personnel is becoming painful and
can no longer be ignored. Small and medium-sized companies are
having an increasingly difficult time to attract good apprentices or
qualified professionals. But the problem does not stop at big corpora-
tions. In this presentation, I’ll show you, based on examples, what
employers need to do specifically to be better positioned in the labor
market. In addition to functioning practical solutions, I will give you a
new way of looking at the issue of recruitment. Picking the right person
is no longer the problem, the point is to convince good people as an

Leadership and Organization in Times of Digitization

The Future of Human Resource Management
Human resource management in the 21st century will have little to do

at the right place” we will make the employees and their individual
preferences, talents, life plans, and ambitions the focus of attention.
If you regard your employees as your most valuable asset, you will give
them freedom, trust, and responsibility. Human resources manage-
ment will therefore deal less with comprehensive processes, systems,
responsibilities, KPIs, etc., in the future. Rather, it will be about how to
empower employees to think on their own responsibility, communi-
cate, collaborate, learn, and develop their talents in the long term.

Born in 1966, Professor Armin Trost is an industrial and organizational
psychologist with a doctoral degree in philosophy. He lectures and resear-
ches at the HFU Business School in Furtwangen, Germany, focusing
primarily on talent management, employer branding and the future of work.
He previously also had a professorship at Würzburg University of Applied
Sciences, and was head of worldwide recruiting at SAP for many years. As
an acknowledge thought-leader he stands for a new and modern generati-
on of human resource management. He is a long-time advisor for compa-
nies of all sizes and industries in matters relating to strategic Human
Resource Management. Not only is Professor Trost known as the author of
numerous articles and books, he is also a trend-setting speaker at reputab-
le conferences. His YouTube-Channel became the most successful MOOC
on human resource management worldwide. The leading trade magazine
in Germany, HR Magazine, has named him as one of the 40 leading
minds in HR for many years in row.
