Some recent initiatives
MMTC is undertaking Skill Development and Livelihood Creation programs in Jajpur, Odisha in
association with NSDC-approved partners. The chosen area is in MMTC’s area of operation in
Odisha, where Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited has their plant in the Duburi region of Jajpur. This
is in accordance with the CSR & Sustainability Guidelines of 2013 regarding development of
weaker sections of society and the backward districts of the country.
MMTC is also engaged in energy management for attaining energy efficiency in its Corporate
Office, DRO and Mumbai (Bandra-Kurla Complex) premises by installation of energy lighting
system, following “energy audit” carried out by M/s Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL).
