Mack Hopper

Valerie Elizabeth

Mack Hopper holds a Masters Degree from the University of Central Arkansas in Interior and Architectural Designs. He now resides in Dallas, Texas where he is a Senior lighting designer and showroom manager for Artemide Lighting. Mack has been featured on Extreme Makeover Home Edition as an assistant designer when ABC chose to renovate the home of the Morgan Nick Family in Alma, Arkansas. He has also judge many state preliminaries to the Miss America pageant in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. While living in his home state, Mack prepared young ladies from Arkansas including Miss Arkansas 2004, 2005, and 2007 who were all top 10 finalist at the Miss America pageant, and Miss Arkansas International 2005 and 2008. He has extensive training in voice and tap.

Kasi Kelli Greenfield began her career in modeling and pageants at age 13 after winning an IMTA competition in Los Angeles. Signing with the Page Parkes agency, she dabbled in modeling before going on to win the prestigious title of Miss Texas USA 2002. She then went on to place in the Top 10 at Miss USA 2002. Using the title of Miss Texas USA, Kasi established the Dustin Reid Scholarship fund and the Brock Memorial Fund in honor of a close friend killed in an auto accident. She traveled extensively throughout Texas, speaking against drunk driving and promoting auto safety. After attaining a double degree in Biology and Science, Kasi now enjoys staying at home with her two children while continuing to work very closely with the Relay for Life in Texas, traveling to speak on the importance of early screening, detection and awareness of breast and lung cancer. Kasi feels that serving and informing others is what she was truly “led” to do.

Lauren Guzman

Leon Reed, Jr.

Leon Reed, Jr. is your “hometown attorney.” Although born in New Orleans, Leon was raised in Fort Worth, TX graduating from Western Hills High school. Upon graduation Leon immediately joined the United States Marine Corps where he received several honors and awards including promotions, certificates of commendation, and medals. At 20 years old, Leon was one of the youngest sergeants in the Marine Corps. His service in the Corps afforded Leon the opportunity to travel to various countries around the world including Korea, Thailand, Japan, Honduras, and other locations. After his 7 years of distinguished service in the Marine Corps, Leon enrolled as a full-time student at Texas Christian University and received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science degree from TCU. In 2000, Leon began his legal studies at Texas Tech University School of Law in Lubbock, Texas. He received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2003, and opened The Law Office of Leon Reed, Jr., in the spring of 2004 and remains in practice today. A deeply spiritual man, Leon is dedicated to helping “common, everyday people.” His Marine Corps mindset and life experiences motivate him to fight, and he often refers to himself as a modern-day Freedom Fighter. His zeal for serving people may one day lead him to the political arena.

Lauren Guzman is a former Miss Texas Teen USA 2008. She attends St. Mary’s University in San Antonio pursuing a degree in forensic science. Lauren has logged over 1200 hours of volunteer service with organizations such as Muscular Dystrophy Association, Mental Health and Mental Retardation, SCAN, Doctors Hospital of Laredo Cancer Center, and WINGS. While at school she partnered up with the Service Learning Center and participated in the Graffiti Clean-up Project. Lauren is also an active member in the Texas State Guard QRT unit and has recently completed Nighttime Search and Rescue training. Her awards include Border Patrol Youth of the Month, President’s Award for Educational Excellence, President’s Volunteer Service Award, and The Texas State Guard Commander’s Recognition for exceptional duty performance. Lauren continues modeling in her spare time and is the virtual tour guide for the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Med Ed program.

"Mental Management has changed my life, I used to get so nervous before competing, but I now channel my nervous energy and butterfly stomach and use it

as fuel for my competition." - Shilah Phillips, Miss Texas

2006 and 1st RU to Miss America 2007.

Why Mental Management?

Author of the books “With Winning in Mind” and “Freedom Flight – The Origins of Mental Power”, Lanny Bassham is the founder of this system.

In 1972, at the Munich Germany Olympic Games, Lanny Bassham failed in his attempt to win the Gold Medal in International Rifle Shooting. He had a mental failure resulting in his taking the Silver instead. Frustrated, Lanny wanted to take a course in controlling the mind under pressure. Bassham interviewed Olympic Gold Medalists to discover what they were doing differently to win. Bassham created a system of mental control he calls Mental Management®. Within the next six years Lanny Bassham dominated his sport, winning 22 world individual and team titles, setting 4 world records and winning the coveted Olympic Gold Medal in Montreal in 1976.

For the past 32 years, Mental Management® has been taught to Olympians, business owners, Fortune 500 Corporations and the elite of sport and business community. Some Mental Management clients include the PGA and PGA tour players, Miss America finalists, Miss USA winters, World and Olympic champions, Fortune 500 companies, The United States Secret Service, US Navy SEALS & The FBI

For pageant contestants we recommend the following products:

“With Winning in Mind”

“Freedom Flight – The Origins of Mental Power”

“What Every Pageant Contestant Should Know First About the Mental

Game”

"Mental Management gave me the tools to control my attitude and

mentality under pressure, so I can perform to my fullest potential."

Kristen Dalton, Miss North Carolina USA 2008 - Miss USA
