10. CLASSES WILL BE ROTATED, ONE DIVISION WILL BE DROPPED EACH WEEK,
EXCEPT LEAD LINE AND WALK-TROT CLASSES.
11. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR YEAR END AWARDS, BOTH OWNER AND RIDER MUST BE
A CURRENT MEMBER OF THE HHRC, MUST COMPETE IN AT LEAST HALF OF THE
NUMBER OF SHOWS IN WHICH A CLASS IS OFFERED.
POINTS IN EQUITATION CLASSES ARE AWARDED TO THE RIDER ONLY.
THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS ON THE NUMBER OF YEAR END AWARDS ONE RIDER
OR ONE RIDER/HORSE COMBINATION CAN WIN. In Jumping and pleasure classes points
will be awarded to each horse/rider combination.
12.RIDERS IN LEAD LINE AND WALK TROT ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ANY OTHER
CLASS. ALL LEAD LINE CLASSES ARE EQUITATION CLASSES.
13. HORSES AND PONIES MAY NOT WEAR BOOTS, BANDAGES, MARTINGALES, TIE
DOWNS, FLASH OR DROP NOSE BANDS EXCEPT IN A JUMPING OR GAME CLASS.
14. PARKING: PARKING YOUR VEHICLE IN THE TRAVEL LANE ON THE HIGH-
WAY, OVER THE WHITE LINE ON RT 139, IS NOT ONLY UNSAFE BUT WILL RE-
SULT IN A CITATION.
15.. PARKING ON THE GROUNDS: HORSE TRAILERS MAY PARK IN LANES NEAREST
THE SHOW RINGS. LANES BETWEEN TRAILER ROWS MUST BE KEPT OPEN FOR
EMERGENCY VEHICLES. PRIVATE CARS MAY PARK ALONG THE BACK ROWS IN
THE FIELD, ALONG THE STREET AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT IMPEDING TRAFFIC OR
IN THE TOWN HALL PARKING LOT , ACROSS THE STREET.
If when parking on the street your car is over the white line which marks the travel lane
you must move your vehicle!
16. PLEASE USE THE RECEPTACLES, PROVIDED FOR YOUR TRASH OR TAKE IT WITH
YOU.
17. PLEASE CLEAN UP AROUND YOUR TRAILER PRIOR TO LEAVING THE GROUNDS.
HAY AND MANURE MAY BE PLACED ON THE MULCH PILE AT THE END OF THE
FIELD.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. ENTRY FEES; ALL CLASSES ARE $12.00. GAME CLASSES $5.00. THERE IS A $1.00 NUMBER FEE
FOR EACH NUMBER YOU RECEIVE; PLEASE KEEP THE NUMBER THROUGH THE SEASON.
NUMBERS ARE ASSIGNED TO EACH HORSE/ RIDER COMBINATION.
2. ANY PERSON MOUNTED WHILE NOT IN A CLASS MUST HAVE A HELMET WITH HARNESS ON .
HELMETS ARE TO BE ASTM/SEI CERTIFIED.
3. PROPER ATTIRE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CLASSES EXCEPT GAME AND JUMPER
CLASSES . HUNT RIDERS MUST HAVE A HELMET WITH A HARNESS, SADDLESEAT AND WEST-
ERN RIDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WEAR HELMETS AND WILL NOT BE PENALIZED FOR DOING
SO. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO PROPER ATTIRE. Helmets are to be ASTM/SEI approved
Management may determine suitability of attire for each class.
GAME CLASSES– BOOTS AND ASTM /SEI APPROVED HELMETS ARE REQUIRED. SHORTS ARE
NOT ALLOWED. NO CHAPS IN SIT-A-BUCK. Year end points will be awarded to each horse/rider combi-
nation.
JUMPERS-BREECHES OR JODPHURS, BOOTS AND ASTM/SEI APPROVED HELMETS ARE RE-
QUIRED. NO CHAPS. Polo shirts or show shirts are acceptable.
4. THERAPEUTIC RIDING CLASSES (LEAD LINE) WILL BE SPLIT , WALK TROT SITTING AND
WALK TROT POSTING. ENTRIES MUST FILL OUT THE APPROPRIATE FORMS IN THE SHOW OF-
FICE.
5. JUMPERS—
All classes are open to horses and ponies.
Open Jumping—Open to riders of any age or status. Please keep horse/rider combinations at appropriate
fence heights.
Scoring– Refusals, (loss of forward motion), and rails down will be scored as faults. Only one circle prior
to 1st jump. 3 refusals will result in elimination. Fences may be raised in the 2’3”,2’6” -2’9” and 3’ and
above classes only. Horse rider combinations may jump in only two judged classes. Year end awards will be
based on the horse/rider combination.
Limits– Each rider, coach, and or trainer is responsible for their horses well being, insuring that they
are used within their limits.
Jumping Order There will be a jumping order, riders should be ready at the gate. Failure to show up within
1 minute of being called will result in elimination and forfeiture of the entry fee.
GAMBLERS CHOICE WILL COUNT TOWARDS JUMPING YEAR END AWARDS.
6. .ENGLISH PLEASURE DIVISION– THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS ON CROSS -
ENTERING OF HORSES.
JUNIOR ENGLISH PLEASURE– RIDERS 13 YEARS AND UNDER.
YOUTH ENGLISH PLEASURE– RIDERS 14 - 17 YEARS.
ADULT ENGLISH PLEASURE— RIDERS 18 YEARS AND OLDER.
Year end awards for the Pleasure Classes will be awarded to the Horse.
7. GREEN HORSE-- Primarily for young horses , but age is no limit. Limited to horses in their 1st or
2nd year of showing. Horses may not or have not shown in divisions other than Green Horse. To
walk/trot only.
8. A CURRENT COGGINS IS REQUIRED. THIS TEST IS REQUIRED YEARLY IN
MASSACHUSETTS .
9. SHOW MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DENY ANY ENTRY, SPLIT OR
COMBINE CLASSES AS THEY SEE FIT.
