CWA projects
Are currently being set up in the hall for judging prior to CWA day on Friday. The performance and presentations begin at 9.45. Year 2 students have prepared a Papua New-Guinea performance piece, parents and friends are invited to attend the special assembly on
Friday at 9.45 am.
Gold coin donation.
It’s cold! Brrrr
The weather has turned decidedly colder, with small snow flurries and bitter winds. Although students are kept warm and snug in classrooms, it is a good idea that they get out into the weather and grab some fresh air at
some stage during the day. For this reason, students should come prepared for some out of doors time in a
jumper, and even a coat.
We have expended our collection of clothing pool jumpers, (particularly in larger sizes) and are not
able to provide jumpers for those who arrive at school without a coat or polar fleece. School beanies are available from the office for
$10 each
Infants Assembly
Our next assembly will be for Infants classes on Friday 21st June, Kindergarten students will be performing something wonderful for us at this assembly. See you at 2pm
in the hall!
Soccer (Football)

Our first rounds of PSSA football (soccer) are due to be played on Thursday 13th June for boys and girls, in Blayney. Please keep an eye tuned for notes, and return them
promptly.

Help needed—
Scrunchie Project
The SRC are wanting to make scrunchies to sell at school as part of the school uniform. They are hoping to sell the scrunchies and use the profits to buy resources for the school. We are looking for people who are happy to help out at home with the making of the scrunchies for the SRC. If you decide to help, the SRC will send home a sewing pack with all of the supplies and instructions to make 10 scrunchies. If
you are keen to get involved please contact the office and put your name down for the SRC to get in
contact with you. We really appreciate your help. Thank you from all of the
SRC.
Kind Regards
Jo Jackett

2019 TAFE NSW Schools Cup Gala day
The 2 netball teams had a fantastic day playing in both
the competitive and non-competitive competitions.
Millthorpe Blue played in the competitive comp, playing
7 short games. They started strong-narrowly missing the
win in the first game, followed by 2 great victories. We
then came up against 4 challenging teams who were
far more experienced than us. The girls worked
extremely hard despite the more difficult games.
Special mention to our amazing shooter Molly and super
defence Olivia.
Millthorpe White played 6 games in the non-competitive
division. They worked well as a team and even tried out
some different positions. Thanks to all the girls for their
efforts, wonderful behaviour and team spirit. Thank you
also to the family members who drove students to the
games and helped with team organisation.
