Tuck Shop
Well done to Win-
chester class for rais-
ing £93.40 at last
week’s tuck shop.
Thank you for all of
your support.
The sounds of Christmas are now beginning to dominate the corridors and classrooms as all
the classes are pracsing and ge4ng ready for the navity in Year 2 and for the Winter con-
certs, in classes from Nursery to Y6. And the Christmas tree and navity scene are now up, so
Christmas is almost here! We are also ge4ng ready for the Christmas Fair that is taking place
next Friday 12th December from 3.30pm. There will be raffle ckets coming home with your
child today, and there will also be a table to collect all donaons for the fair starng on Mon-
day 8th December –please bring any bo>le, ns, old books, toys unwanted gi?s etc. Thank
you in advance for your support. Also don’t forget to book your child a Christmas dinner if
they are usually packed lunch. And the concert dates are all in the Mag, on the website and
on the school noceboards, so please make a note and hope to see you there. This year the
concerts will all take place at St James Church opposite the pond as Clapton School are hold-
ing their concerts on the same week this year! There will be a collecon at the end of each
show, so please give any spare change to help say thank you.
Recepon classes had a brilliant me yesterday on the transport trip –they went on a tube,
bus, over-ground rail, boat and a cable car. Despite the cold weather, they had a great me
and learnt lots about forms of transport and saw lots of famous London landmarks. Also,
some of our classes have visited Pages of Hackney Book Shop to hear stories and to look at all
the great books that the shop has to offer.
We have also welcomed several visitors to assemblies this week. Thank you to Childline who
visited to do an assembly and run workshops for all pupils in Year 5 and 6, and also to Su>on
House representaves who came to speak to the children in Years 1-4 about the oldest house
in London and invite them to the Christmas celebraons happening this weekend.
We have also given out all the lovely Christmas cards and mugs that some of you designed –
they look fantasc, so I know that your friends and relaves will be delighted when they re-
ceive on in the next few weeks. Please collect mugs from Heidi’s office.
As it is the end of term, we will be celebrang good behaviour, good manners and excellent
effort in all areas of school life by taking our ‘Always Good’ pupils –one from each class, out
for a lovely pizza lunch at a local restaurant. Well done to all the pupils who do the right thing
and make the right choice all the me –maybe it will be you next term!
Finally, have a good weekend, and make sure you wrap up warm as the weather has definitely
turned colder! Best Wishes, Jane
