Secure communication of clinical data:
• Communications using familiar Internet technologies including for example: HTTP, Secure, Sockets Layer (SSL) for encryption
• Electronic documents that comply with Nationally agreed standards and national XML information definitions

Integration – GP Systems
• SCI applications available from within the GP system (from the SCI tab)
• Auto-insertion of patient clinical and demographic data from the GP system within referrals
• Import facilities to update patient records with information from immediate discharge letters
Integration – Hospital PAS and Portal
• Outpatient booking facility from GP surgery• Immediate confirmation of appointment booking• Provide the patient with a printed appointment letter before leaving the surgery. • Appointment before referral - an appointment may be booked before full clinical data is transmitted• Facility to send discharge information to the GP including essential clinical information
