Metropolitan State Students Attend Midwestern Psychological Association (MPA) Conference
Chicago – April 30-May 2, 2015
A group of 15 students (and 4 faculty) from Metropolitan State attended the 2015 meeting of the MidwesternPsychological Association in Chicago. The students were able to view current research from many areas of Psychologyand also had opportunities to attend invited lectures by leading Psychologists including Charles Carver (Impulse & Self-Control), Roy Baumeister (What is the Self?), Susan Fiske (Power of Positive Speaking), and others. Sessions gearedtoward student professional development were also available (e.g., preparing for grad school, careers in psychology, etc.).
