Jill Bohn, GRC Rep from Area V asked Barbara Diskowski, Ed.D. Area IV GRC Rep, Division 52, to lead the meeting with newly elected Congressman Ro Khanna, District 17, on Wednesday , April, 26, 2017, in his Cannon Office Building. Joining the meeting were Shirley Rosenthal Winston, Division 58; and Stella Jane Torrez, Division 91; and Pat Fraher. Division 59 (not shown). Ro shared that his own mother was also a teacher. We spoke about the need to repeal the WEP/GPO, and also the need to encourage people to become public school teachers who have had other careers as well as those who wish to become educators right out of college.
