Homework Homework will be given on the grid at
the front of the books on Thursday.
It is expected that children will complete
and hand in their work by Tuesday.
Additional homework may occasionally be set
if children need further practice at particular
skills or work in class.
During longer holidays children are given projects
to complete.
Reading
Your child will learn HOW to read during Guided Reading sessions in class.
These are skills which will then be practiced at home. We want children to enjoy reading and share books with you!
Children should record that they have read every day.
Home Readers and Library
Books
Children are given 1 home reader every week.
Children visit the library at least once a week.
They are issued 2 library books at a time.
Children take AR quizzes after reading their books.
These are really fun and children can become
very competitive!
