Now that the pupils are in Primary 4, there will be an expectation all children respect the environment in which they are learning and respect others belongings.
We expect good behaviour and good manners at all times.
We ask the children to try their best at all times, working neatly and productively.

HomeworkHomeworkIn Primary 4, homework tasks are now
recorded in a blue homework diary.We would appreciate if the diary and
homework could be signed.
Spelling – Spelling homework is set on a Monday and should be handed in by Friday. Pupils are tested on Friday. Words are taken from the Single Word Spelling Test scheme or a topic related.
Weekly spelling should also be completed with the appropriate spelling activities noted in spelling homework jotters.
Reading Reading Your child will take part in Ready for Reading
once a week. Reading homework will be given on either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and due the following week.
Maths Maths Maths homework will be set on a Monday and
should be returned on Friday. This may include a challenge on Sumdog.
Other Curricular Areas Other Curricular Areas This term, children will be learning about Crazy
Climates. At times, children may be given homework activities on this.
Support for LearningSupport for Learning Mrs Kellner and Mrs Combe will provide
extra support in class.

Mini topic on our school value- Responsible Community Contract– Class Expectations Began our Crazy Climates IDL context
The Crazy Climates- Literacy, Social Studies and Technology focus. Also links to Expressive Arts, ICT and Science.
Maths- place value, addition and subtraction, mental and written method, and data handling.
Literacy- Ready for Reading, writing linked to IDL Topic (describing climate, fact files, letters, weather report), spelling and grammar
RME- communityP.E- Games – ball skillsMusic- Experiencing SoundsFrench- general revision of key greetings and topic related.
Linked to our IDL context 3rd October Looking at Climates Time to explore Dynamic Earth Educational Lesson on Rainforests (Tropical)
There will be a parent information evening for parents of pupils going to Dalguise on Thursday 15th September.
Pupils who are not attending Dalguise will be split across other classes.
