Harry Potter Lexicon Club

• In HP News, The Georgian House Hotel in London has given some of its rooms a gothic feel so guests can pretend they are spending a night in Hogwarts. There are two "Wizard Chamber" bedrooms that come with a four-poster, "Muggle-size" bed; potion bottles; cauldrons and other themed accessories!

• In Pottermore News, this Friday (Halloween), JKR will be releasing a writing about Dolores Umbridge on Pottermore!

• In HPLC News, the Order has had 22 meets, and recently created an iMovie on Petrification!

On this day, October 27th…• 1994: A notice is posted in Hogwarts Castle about 

Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students arriving for the Triwizard Tournament the next Halloween. Hogwarts Castle is being spiffed up.

Chapter 16: Through the Trapdoor…

• Voldemort killing HP’s parents seems big, but he has killed so many people!

Chapter 16: Through the Trapdoor…

• Hermione is good with fire – with Devil’s Snare and Snape’s cloak!

• Alohomora doesn’t really do much – many doors don’t allow it

• Harry used two of his first ever Christmas presents to get to the Stone

• If you didn’t want anyone to follow you after potions riddle, wouldn’t you mix up potions or something?

Chapter 16: Through the Trapdoor…

• Harry meets Quirrell and Voldemort, Dumbledore saves him and Harry goes to Hospital Wing, and eventually “home”

• Many people thought Snape wanted Gryffindor to lose, but he wanted to save Harry
