Betadine scrub. It is used for cleansing intact skin -- the detergent is very toxic to tissues.

Hydrogen peroxide. Some use peroxide to cleanse wounds. It is helpful as a mouthwash for oral ulcers or Vincent's angina.

Iris scissors. A sharp instrument composed of two opposing cutting blades held together by a central pin, on which the blades pivot.

Needle holder. A surgical forceps used to hold and pass a suturing needle through tissue. Also called suture forceps.

Sphygmomanometer. an instrument for measuring arterial blood pressure.

Thermometer. One used to determine the temperature of the human body.

Stethoscope. An instrument used for listening to sounds produced within the body.

Surgical masks. It helps protect against airborne infections and would be of some benefit in preventing inhalation of small particles if one needed to go out of doors in fallout conditions.

Syringes. An instrument for injecting liquids into or withdrawing them from any vessel or cavity.

Enema bag. A rubber bag or other device for administering an enema.

Dropper bottles. A short glass tube with a rubber bulb at one end, for measuring out drops of liquid.

Scalpel handle. A knife with a small sharp blade, as used by a surgeon.

Suture needles. A stitch or row of stitches holding together the edges of a wound or surgical incision.

Gauze pads. A thin transparent fabric.
