One step further... to simplify your life
onstant innovation and cutting edge technology has
positioned Schneider Electric as the world leader in its
TMfield. And Simpact
exemplary performance.
Little wonder then that is now associated with
TM Simpact MCCBs after they were subjected to the most stringent
quality tests and have passed the exacting demands of Schneider
Electric's worldwide norms.
TMBut these aren't the only reasons that set Simpact apart from
regular MCCBs. It comes with a host of thoughtful features:
adjustable centralised thermal setting, line load reversibility, very
high endurance level, to name some.
Add to this, it is tropicalised to withstand extreme electrical,
mechanical, climatic and environmental conditions.
TMIn short, Simpact offers safety, reliability, flexibility and economy
of operation. It’s easy to install, easy to use and easy to maintain.
TMStill wondering how Simpact MCCBs simplify your life?
Schneider Electric, Moving from strength to strength.
range of MCCBs are completely in

Remote trippingUnder voltage or shunt release are voltage releases used to trip the circuit breaker
Under voltage release
Shunt trip
•
•
•
•
•
This release trips the circuit breaker when the control voltage drops below a
tripping threshold.
Tripping threshold between 0.35 and 0.7 times the rated voltage
It shall permit closing of circuit breaker at supply voltages equal to or above
0.85 Un. The upper limit of supply voltage will be 1.1 Un.
Circuit breaker tripping by an UV release meets the requirements of standard
IEC 60947-2.
.
•
•
This release is used to trip the circuit breaker from remote
The opening voltage of the release shall be 70 ~ 110 Un
Control signal can be impulse type but shall not exceed 5 sec (1 sec for 440 V)
Indication contact•
•
Auxiliary contact indicates the position of the circuit breaker
contacts (open and closed).
Alarm contact indicates that circuit breaker has tripped due to
an overload, a short circuit fault or operation of the 'push to trip' button. It
resets when the circuit breaker is reset.

Thermal Magnetic MCCBs (NKF Range):
The rated current is dependent on ambient temperature. The rated current at o oambient temperatures from 30 C - 50 C is given below in the following table.
0The magnetic trip setting given in % In ( Max setting) at 40 C are independent of ambient temperature.
Full magnetic MCCBs (NKS Range)
• No derating required for higher ambient temperatures.• The tripping time is dependent on the ambient temperature.
At different ambient temperatures, the tripping time varies as shown in the table.
The magnetic trip time is independent of ambient temperature.
