It's easy to forget what Memorial Day actually means while we're enjoying time with family and friends, or having a barbeque, or looking ahead at

summer vacation—but the day signifies much more than just a three-day weekend. Memorial Day is a solemn day of remembrance for everyone who has died serving in the American armed forces.

Northwest Gardens I Team want to salute all our American soldiers who have died in the military service.

May all the love and smiles that you give to others come back to you tenfold on this special day.

Being a mom is like no other job in the world, and her job is never done. Unlike a typical 8-to-5 job, motherhood is a “career” often motivated by pure, unwavering love. While she’s responsible for so much, often it may feel as if she goes unappreciated, or at least under-appreciated. Let’s reach out to all the moms in our lives to remind them how loved and appreciated they are, and let’s honor and celebrate them with love and blessings.

Vegan Chocolate-Peanut Butter Pudding Cups Recipe

Prep time: 5 minutes Yield: 4 servings Ingredients For the coconut whipped cream: 1 (14-ounce) can full-fat coconut milk; 1 tablespoon sugar; 1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract

For the pudding:

1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk or other dairy-free milk 4 medium ripe avocados, pitted and peels removed 3/4 cup raw cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder 3/4 cup pure maple syrup 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter 1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract.

To serve (optional):

1/2 cup sliced raw almonds or peanuts 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced lengthways, or other berries
