What are your plans after graduation?
I will be getting my Master’s in Kinesiology
with a concentration in sports psychology at
Georgia Southern University.
What is your favorite WNS class that you took at Berry?
My favorite class was Psychology of Women.
What social issue are you the most passionate about?
I am really passionate about LGBTQ rights and issues
& eating disorders

What are your plans after graduation?
I am pursuing a Master's in
Applied Behavior Analysis at
Georgia State.
What social issue are you the most passionate about?
I'm most passionate about issues related to the
developmentally disabled population. I hope to one day work with
children and adults with Autism and advocating for them is already
a huge part of my life.

What are your plans after
graduation?
I am going to attend the University of West Georgia for my
Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I eventually want
to do counseling with children and adolescents.
What social issue are you the most passionate about?
The two social issues I am currently most passionate about
would probably be LGBT rights and reproductive rights

What are your plans after graduation?
I have accepted a position with the
Lutheran Episcopal Volunteer network
in Sacramento, California.
What was your favorite WNS class you took at Berry?
My favorite WNS class would have to be Christian Faith and
Feminist Critique. I loved that I was able to study two things,
feminism and Christianity, that are very important to me and to
find harmony between the two.
Is there a quote that defines you?
I love the phrase, "Have courage and be kind." It's a simple
directive, but I think that our world would be a much better place if
people were brave enough to speak up for what is right and treated
others with more compassion and that’s what I try to do each and
every day.

What are your plans after
graduation?
I will be going to grad school in Athens for UGA’s Community
Counseling Graduate School Program. For this summer, I am
mainly going to try to find an apartment and spend some quality
time with my cat.
What was your favorite WNS class?
The WNS Seminar was my favorite class because I was able to
explore the fields that I was interested in and the discussions in
the class about social topics were my favorite parts.

What are your plans after
graduation?
I'm graduating in December, and
planning on staying in Rome until April/May hopefully working part
time with the Department of Family and Children Services, and then
moving to full time once I decide on a permanent place to live..
What social issue are you the most passionate about?
I am really passionate about issues with foster care.

I plan on traveling and working.

Women’s and Gender Studies Seminar was my favorite women’s
studies class.

I am passionate about domestic violence and would like to be a
lawyer for domestic violence cases.

What is your favorite WNS class
that you took at Berry?
Oh gosh, I can't pick just one! It's tied between three: Gay and
Lesbian Literature with Dr. Bucher, U.S. Women's History with
Dr. Snider, and Psychology of Women with Dr. Conradsen.
What social issue are you the most passionate about?
I am a big advocate for body positivity. Also I watch a lot of
television, so I am really interested in diversity in the media.

graduation?
I have an internship with the National Bonner Foundation in
Princeton, NJ and I will be there this summer.
What was your favorite WNS class?
Psychology of Women was my favorite women’s studies class.
What social issue are you most passionate about?
I am passionate about immigration issues.

What are your plans after
graduation?
I'm attending graduate school at
UTK to get my doctorate in
Analytical Chemistry.
What was your favorite WNS class? Anthropology of the Body really expanded my horizons. We went over so many interesting topics. I would highly recommend the course to any WNS minors looking for classes to take.
What social issue are you the most passionate about?
The under-representation of women in STEM is an issue close to
my heart.

The Women’s and Gender Studies Program is looking for a new student worker! We are a small but efficient team of student workers that run the tasks of the Women’s and Gender Studies Program Office. These tasks include: aiding in the production of a monthly newsletter; assisting in the planning, publication, and execution of events (including film showings, discussion panels, and social events); researching potential material for WNS classes; and office tasks for the director of the Program, Dr. Susan Conradsen.
The ideal candidate will:
Be a rising sophomore or junior (current freshman or sophomore)
Have taken WNS classes or have an interest in/passion for women’s & gender issues and feminism
Be an organized, self-starter who takes the initiative in completing office tasks that need to be done
Be able to work well with a small team of 3-4 student workers around 5-10 hours per week
